Factory Time numbered Right To Dream among his victims when scoring here earlier in the month, but went on to finish behind Fiscal in the Listed race won by Right To Dream's stablemate Burano last week. Moon Spun has the measure of Colorful Notion on recent evidence and is the pick of the fillies, but the vote goes to COUNTERGLOW. Godolphin's Epsom Derby entry couldn't build on his debut success in the UK last year but proved he handles an artificial surface when third at Kempton most recently.

ALKIMOS possibly didn't stay the mile and a half here, but there is still plenty of time for him to reward Godolphin for snapping him up after his Royal Ascot second, and Dettori seemingly prefers him to Sarrsar, Nationalism and Yaa Wayl. Last year's Canadian International runner-up Joshua Tree was behind Alkimos last time but will strip fitter for that Meydan debut. Ottoman Empire had a couple of lengths in hand over Bronze Cannon when third to Spring Of Fame, but both are capable of picking up a race at the Carnival.

Soul was successful in Group 2 company Down Under and is interesting on his first start in the Godolphin blue, but race-fitness gives the edge to REGAL PARADE. Dandy Nicholls' dual top-flight winner was never a factor over a mile here at the start of the month, but his previous couple of runs in the desert proved much of the ability remains. Iver Bridge Lad took fourth over 5f on the same card - with Invincible Ash adrift - but is better suited to that minimum trip. Kanaf has acclimatised quickly since leaving Ed Dunlop, and rates an improver.

Lincoln fancy Primaeval would be a contender if he makes it off the subs' bench, but Aussie import SCARF offered enough encouragement on his first start in Dubai to suggest this is within his compass. The Comedian has also come from Australia - via Singapore - and wasn't far behind Delegator here. Ip Man is based in Singapore as well, and beat Primaeval on his Meydan debut, but he now has to atone for a lifeless display when a red-hot favourite subsequently.

Ex-Ballydoyle inmate VISCOUNT NELSON has to concede weight all round but such was his dominance in swooping to the Al Fahidi Fort spoils, he should be able to prove a class above these opponents. Derbaas, Laa Rayb and Always Certain are held on that evidence, and the one most likely to trouble Mike de Kock's charge is Sandagiyr, who got off to a flyer for Saeed bin Suroor when landing the Group 3 Firebreak Stakes on the same card on which Dark Matter finished an honourable fifth in the UAE 2000 Guineas.

Frankie Dettori has opted for the recent winning form of FOX HUNT, who was having his first start since the Melbourne Cup when strolling to a comprehensive victory here, and he could graduate to become a genuine Cups contender during the forthcoming European summer. Stable companion Opinion Poll is already of that standard and goes well at this venue, but has been absent since the stayers' race on Champions' Day at Ascot. Kasbah Bliss turned back the clock to land the Prix Du Cadran when last seen and can never be ruled out with confidence, but needs further, whereas Jakkalberry has stamina to prove.
