ATR Verdict

SPECIAL TOKEN made amends for her disqualification at Cork two starts ago (placed second for causing interference after initially finishing first past the post) when bolting up over an extended 2m3f at Limerick last time and, with this longer trip unlikely to cause any problems, she gets the vote to follow up. Carrigeen Lechuga beat Definite Class by a length and a half over 2m6f here last time but, with Dessie Hughes' charge meeting on 12lb better terms this afternoon, the placings should theoretically be reversed.

Watch out for: DEFINITE CLASS (6)

Definite Class has room for improvement in the jumping department but does have a good chance at the weights so is worth taking to reverse recent course form with Carrigeen Lechuga. Special Token is another to consider.

ATR Verdict

THE BOOK THIEF produced his best effort since tackling fences when runner-up over 2m4f at Clonmel last week and, likely to benefit from dropping back in distance, he will be fancied to go one better off the same mark today. An improved effort is expected from Lockdown as he sports first-time cheekpieces on this handicap debut, while Woodbine Willie could be worth monitoring in the betting market for possible clues on his seasonal reappearance.

Sensational Sema is interesting with Ruby Walsh booked for the first time over fences, but the better value may lay with Tomcoole Lad who is tried in first-time cheekpieces and is partnered by the excellent claimer Ben Dalton. The Book Thief is capable of running into a place.

ATR Verdict

SILVER SHUFFLE appears to have been found a great opportunity to open his account over hurdles. He got within 4 3/4-lengths of Supreme Novices' Hurdle hope Midnight Game (who has won again since) at Leopardstown last time and any improvement from that would make him difficult to beat this afternoon. Inis Meain has edged closer to the target in each of his three hurdle starts thus far and ought to play a leading role if continuing to progress, while Seefood is an interesting newcomer from the Dessie Hughes stable.

Watch out for: INIS MEAIN (9)

The pair to focus on here are Silver Shuffle and Inis Meain, and it is the former who just gets the vote with his latest effort working out well. Appletime is one of the few others in the field with realistic claims.

ATR Verdict

A chance is taken on handicap debutant NOT MY IDEA. There are plenty of positives to take from his three starts in maiden company towards the end of 2011 and an opening mark of 101 looks fairly lenient. Gentle Paddy has been knocking on the door recently and didn't appear to get home over 2m4f at Down Royal last time. He warrants plenty of respect dropping back half-a-mile in trip, while Luke's Benefit is certainly no forlorn hope on his return over the smaller obstacles.

Watch out for: GENTLE PADDY (6)

Luke's Benefit has been in fine form in recent months and looks well treated judged on his chase form, especially as he's a straightforward type who is now partnered by a 7 lb claimer. Not My Idea and Starling Lady are a couple of relatively unexposed sorts in opposition.

It's difficult to look past MAZURI COWBOY. Eoin Doyle's point-to-point scorer stepped up on a promising debut over timber when chasing home subsequent winner Changing Times at Fairyhouse last time (fourth has also won since) and, likely to improve again for today's extra couple of furlongs, he should make it third time lucky. Douneve looks the obvious danger on his hurdling debut after a fine bumper second at this track in November, while Mr Bb, a winner between the flags at Dungarvan last month, could prove next best.

Watch out for: DOUNEVE (3)

Mazuri Cowboy has looked a winner waiting to happen in this sphere and will be suited by this longer trip so rates as a confident selection. Douneve was all the rage in the market when second on his debut and looks the main threat, with Gentle Cloud a place selection at bigger odds.

COME TO THE PARTY could exploit a lenient hurdles mark. He has won each of his three starts when completing this term (including one hurdle win) and has gone up 13lb in the ratings since his easy chase success at Limerick last time. Lining up off a 22lb lower mark on today's return to hurdling, he looks sure to take all the beating. Handicap debutant Betterthanalright rates the biggest threat after his easy maiden hurdle win at Clonmel last week, while Tally Em Up likes it here and holds decent each-way claims.

Come To The Party is enjoying an excellent campaign and looks banker material off a 9 lb lower mark than when successful over fences last time, especially as he's unexposed around this trip over timber. Betterthanalright is the obvious alternative, ahead of Tally Em Up.

JUPITOR is taken to open his account at the third time of asking. After a promising Gowran introduction in December, he took a step forward when third behind the exciting Fickle Fortune (who figures prominently in the betting for the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham next month) at Down Royal and further improvement should see him land the spoils here. Nevskij warrants respect after his pleasing third at Clonmel on debut, while Smart Money and Finish The Story complete the shortlist.
