However, this trip looks plenty sharp enough and preference is instead for SECONDTHAT EMOTION, who weakened in the closing stages when third over 7f latest and will relish this slight drop in trip. Mad Tunes looks the pick of the remainder.

Written Rule disappointed on his last start at Santa Anita but is capable of finishing in the shake-up if reproducing the form of his October third, over this trip, at the same track. MR WEAVER looks the safest option, however, following a career-best effort in second (Winning Deal back in fourth) over 6f here latest. The last-named has place possibilities and completes the shortlist.

SHE WEARS IT WELL looked at one with herself when hacking up over 7f here last month and showed enough dash to think this drop in trip wouldn't inconvenience now she goes in search of a double. She Wants and From Gray To Gold can battle it out for the minor honours.

CHIEF THUNDERCLOUD showed this trip holds no fears when scoring over C&D last week and, still unexposed around 1m, appears the most likely winner. Chances are also given to South Fleet, who won impressively here latest but now steps up in grade, and the consistent Uniquely.

MI PRECIOSA has been knocking hard on the door in recent months, following up a neck defeat over the extended 5f when edged out by just a nose over the extended 6f here latest. Over this intermediate trip, she wouldn't need to improve much upon those efforts to score. Passion Punch and Square Grouper appear the principal threats.

Nafta is respected now eased in grade but of more interest is STRAIGHT ARROW, who emerged through the fog to finish a nose second here in January and looks primed to strike anytime soon. Swashbuckler, third behind the selection when last sighted, looks the best option for the exacta.

WILDCAT LAKE returned to form with a creditable second over 7f here latest and gets the verdict now reverting back to this shorter trip, over which his record reads two from three. Sin And The City and Cantona make most appeal of the remainder.

SELECT CAT was a creditable fifth in Grade 3 company when last sighted at Belmont in October and is taken to exploit this drop in grade to score. Union Victory impressed when scoring over 6f at Aqueduct latest and is feared most, with a chance also given to Mikey Likes It, who won on debut here latest and should have better to offer.
