Globetrotting World Cup winner Gloria De Campeao is on course to make his British debut at York next month.
French trainer Pascal Bary is preparing the seven-year-old, who has done much of his racing in Dubai, for the Juddmonte International over an extended mile and a quarter.
"The plan is if everything goes well and the ground is good he will go to York," Bary told At The Races.
"He is working good and it will be the first time he has run in the UK. He is a lazy horse. He doesn't do much in the mornings, he waits for the afternoon."
Gloria De Campeao won the Dubai World Cup at Meydan in March and was second in the Singapore Airlines International Cup at Kranji on his latest start.
