Travel to Cheltenham aboard the At The Races Express

Join us on the At The Races Express and arrive at the 2013 Cheltenham Festival in style!

The magnificent steam train from Toddington Railway Station to Cheltenham racecourse gives you a unique opportunity to take the stress out of the journey to the Festival.

Instead of getting stuck in the traffic in and around the racecourse, you'll be hauled in luxury vintage carriages by a fine thoroughbred steam locomotive; it's the only major sporting venue in the UK where you can travel directly to the heart of the action in this way.

Your journey starts in the tranquil setting of Toddington Railway Station before you step back in time and experience a nostalgic 35 minute journey through the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds, Malverns and Vale of Evesham. You'll have time to take advantage of the full cash buffet service available throughout the journey serving Champagne (which can also be pre-ordered), beers, wines, liqueurs and savoury snacks, plus the valuable opportunity to cram in some last-minute form study.

You will arrive relaxed and in style as you pull into Cheltenham Racecourse station, just a furlong from the Paddock and conveniently located opposite the North entrance to the racecourse.

Bookings can be made for numbers of one person upwards and private carriages and cabins are available on request. Seating is arranged around tables, except in the cabins.

The At The Races Express will run every day of the Cheltenham Festival from Tuesday 12 to Friday 15 March.

Champion Day:
The opening day of the Festival always provides and electric atmosphere. Feature of the card is, of course, the Champion Hurdle but for many one of the highlights of the entire meeting is the moment the tapes go up for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and the Festival truly gets under way. The two-mile Arkle Chase provides the other Grade 1 action on the card, whilst the supporting races include the unique Cross Country Handicap Chase.

Ladies Day:
For many jump racing connoisseurs the Wednesday of the Festival is the best day as it boasts no fewer than four Grade 1 races; the Queen Mother Champion Chase, Neptune Novices' Hurdle, RSA Chase and Champion Bumper. Outside of these outstanding contests, there are two cracking handicaps to be solved in the Coral Cup and Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle, whilst the day kicks off with the four-mile National Hunt Chase.

St Patrick's Thursday: St Patrick's Day is brought forward a couple of days to provide a real Irish flavour to the third day of the Festival! Feature race of the day will be the World Hurdle, where all being well the mighty Big Buck's will bid for a record fourth triumph in 2012, whilst the supporting card includes the Ryanair Chase, Jewson Novices' Chase, Pertemps Final and closes with the St Patrick's Day Derby.

Cheltenham Gold Cup Day:
The raceday title says it all; it's the highlight of the jump racing year as the best staying chasers in the world compete for the Cheltenham Gold Cup. The tension and excitement really increase one final notch on this fantastic last day of the Festival, when a stunning supporting card includes the Triumph Hurdle, Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle and the ultra-competitive County Hurdle.
