Exciting novice Flemenstar takes on the last horse to beat him, Bog Warrior, in a cracking renewal of the Naas Directors Plate Novice Chase on Sunday.
Peter Casey's seven-year-old has 4lb in hand on the official figures after winning three of his four starts over fences to stamp himself as one of the best novices in Ireland, and his defeat at the hands of Bog Warrior last November was his only one over the bigger obstacles.
That came in a beginners chase at Navan, where the pair went off 9-4 joint-favourites. Bog Warrior, owned by Gigginstown House Stud, made all and won easily by seven and a half lengths.
All Flemenstar's recent victories, including his 19-length demolition of Gift Of Dgab in the Arkle at Leopardstown last time, have come on testing ground, but Casey is not concerned by the slightly quicker conditions on offer this time.
He said: "We won't be worried about the ground drying up a touch, he handled it at Fairyhouse last year.
"When Bog Warrior beat us, our lad just wasn't quite right, but he is now. We're not worried about any of the others. Our lad is rated the best by the handicapper."
