IMPERIAL ELOQUENCE is very interesting having displayed a very smart level of form in bumpers, most notably when finishing third and second in Listed events at Cheltenham and Ascot respectively. He failed to impact in the Champion Bumper last time but should make into a hurdler and is just preferred to Bedrock, who was much improved when third to Defi Du Seuil at Aintree last month. Irish bumper winner Copernicus is another worth noting on his jumping debut.
BEDROCK has been highly tried over hurdles to date but was clearly all the better for his debut when third in the Grade 1 Anniversary Hurdle at Aintree, his jumping looking much more assured. He is worth siding with in calmer waters, with Nicely Indeed and hurdles-debutant Imperial Eloquence others to consider.
