James Tate has had a battalion of two-year-olds to go to war with this season, and is looking to land his second winner of the season in contests for newcomers with his Reckless Abandon colt COLLATERAL, who is entitled to improve on his debut effort when not disgraced in a trappy Goodwood heat. Richard Fahey has to be respected in these contests and his Gangland is considered, while Shaheen represents powerful connections but needs more to play a prominent role. Of the newcomers, Archie Watson's Pacific Fleet could be worth a market check, and the Elusive Quality colt was a 95,000gns purchase at the early season Breeze-Up sales.
COLLATERAL shaped well as the penny dropped on debut at Goodwood and could be hard to beat here if improving as expected. Go Now Go Now has solid place claims again, while Pacific Fleet has to be respected on debut having cost 95,000 gns at the Craven Breeze-Ups.
