Arabian Jazz failed to build on her impressive turf debut last time out at Brighton when third after being well supported in the betting and perhaps she could be vulnerable here once more. Tim Easterby runs three and Poet's Dawn looks best of them, though Mark Johnston has the better record at this venue and perhaps his RAMPANT LION can take advantage. The selection has to give weight to the field but has been well backed on both career starts so far and should be suited by this step up in distance and a perfect draw in stall one.
This step up in trip could bring about an improved display from RAMPANT LION, who was doing his best work at the finish when fifth at Wetherby 3 weeks ago. The forecast fast ground here may also help judged on pedigree (sire was at his best on a quick surface). Arabian Jazz should also benefit from this stiffer test and is next on the list ahead of Jaffar and Poet's Dawn.
