The vibes ahead of KIT MARLOWE's debut at Newmarket were strong and he was unlucky not to land the odds on that day, just finishing second to a handy Godolphin inmate. He didn't appreciate the ground at Newbury in a conditions race and then fell out of the stalls at Nottingham on his third start, but this represents a great chance to get off the mark and seven furlongs looks to be ideal for the son of Poet's Voice. Brian Ellison targets this meeting and Tale Of Tails impressed when second on debut at 100-1, while Rude Awakening could prove best of the remainder.
MOLLY MAYHEM was a relatively expensive yearling, no great surprise considering her better-than-average pedigree, so she's worth chancing on debut with Paul Hanagan booked for a stable which has had another good season with juvenile newcomers. Kit Marlowe wasn't helped by a headwind at Nottingham and should be able to reverse form with Tale of Tails, with Weellan another definite player.
