TURCAGUA boasts some smart bumper and hurdles form, behind the likes of Monalee and Death Duty, and there is no reason why he shouldn't be equally as effective in this sphere. Prior to falling early on over 2m here last time, he shaped with plenty of promise when splitting two useful stablemates at Navan (the third, Cadmium, has bolted up since and runs in Listed company in the 2:45 on today's card) and, barring accidents, he should have too much ammunition for these rivals. Ballela Boy is better than showing at Fairyhouse 56 days ago and warrants respect for connections going great guns, while Kaiser Black can build on his introductory fourth at the track.
Despite getting no further than the second on his most recent outing, this looks a good opportunity for TURCAGUA. Willie Mullins' charge was useful over timber and shaped well behind a stable mate on his chasing bow at Navan in January. Ballela Boy and Kaiser Black may emerge next best.
