New Rich has winning C&D form in the book and hinted his turn was approaching again when beaten by under a length into second at Wolverhampton last time. He does, however, have a wide draw to overcome here, so preference is instead for MAJOR ASSAULT. He well berthed to take up a prominent position from stall five and is only 3lb higher than when scoring over this trip at Lingfield last month, a race in which Noble Deed finished a creditable second.
Stepping back up to this trip looks a good move for BILLY'S BOOTS, who was doing all his best work at the finish when third over 5f back from a break at Lingfield. He makes plenty of appeal off the same mark here with Silvestre De Sousa taking over. New Rich isn't the most reliable on the whole, but he goes particularly well over this C&D and, along with Dalness Express, he has to be feared.
