Oscar's Song was way behind a stable companion on seasonal reappearance but has decent claims on last season's form for the new Longsdon and Burke team. However, that was a disappointing effort and NAMPARAROO is a viable alternative arriving on the back of a couple of fair runner-up efforts, albeit in selling company the last time at Southwell. That wasn't a bad race for the grade and she could well go one better. Dark Sunset looks best of the McCain duo an Richard Johnson is an interesting booking for Azamesse so check her out in the market.
This race will not take much winning, and OSCAR'S SONG is selected with the prospect of better to come. Her Sedgefield third demonstrated she has the necessary ability to win a race of this nature. Nampararoo has to be respected given that she arrives in good form, while Dark Sunset would not need to be anything special to make an impact.
