HAULANI won twice on the Flat and is rated 76 in that sphere, so an opening perch of 110 appears workable for his first handicap outing over timber. His Kempton second in December represented a step up on his penultimate effort at Catterick so he appears the one to side with. C&D winner Alizee De Janeiro is considered the principal threat, though a big run from Morning With Ivan, who arrives on a four-timer, is also anticipated.
HAULANI's runner-up effort at Kempton isn't easy form to assess, but his opening mark is surely too low, and that's before factoring in his 4-y-o allowance, so he has to rate a strong fancy. Alizee de Janeiro and Morning With Ivan can fight it out for minor honours.
