KUWAIT STATION was biting off far more than he could chew in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, but he was allowed to come home in his own time once his chance was gone and a return to the form of his debut victory at Ripon would make him very tough to beat. Axe Axelrod is the obvious danger after a close-up second on his Hamilton introduction, while Jordan's Chris is progressing, albeit very steadily.
AXE AXELROD failed to live up to his market billing when runner-up on debut at Hamilton but that defeat was more owing to greenness than anything else. Likely to be sharper this time, the Street Sense colt should prove too strong for the penalised Kuwait Station, who is the clear main danger. Fuente's debut wasn't devoid of promise and he'll probably do better in time.
