AMERICAN HISTORY pulled 15 lengths clear of the remainder when finding only short-priced favourite The Twisler too good on his second hurdles appearance at Worcester, and William Muir's charge can open his account at the third time of asking. Delirant is entitled to improve for his fourth-placed effort at Bangor and now has the added help of a hood, while Marettimo will be bidding to put his experience to good use.
DELIRANT was a comfortable winner of both of his starts in French bumpers and he showed a definite aptitude for this job when fourth at Bangor in June (on the back of 19 months off). He ought to have derived plenty from that initial experience and can come out on top. American History, Marettimo and Winter Spice rate next best, in that order.
