Restive got up in the dying strides to score over 1m6f here last time and though there's no doubting he's in form, the shorter trip here might be against him. In contrast, Brisk Tempo's good recent form has come over 10 furlongs and his last attempt at this trip ended in a heavy defeat. It could, therefore, be worth siding with MAULESDEN MAY. Although well beaten over 10 furlongs on soft ground at Ayr last time, Keith Dalgleish's mare won over C&D prior to that and is only 3lb higher than that success here.
MYSTICAL MAC had excuses at Ayr last time and has been given a chance by the handicapper. In-form pair Brisk Tempo and Restive head the dangers.
