Gloucestershire-based handlers have won two of the last three renewals, and the prize can return down south here with Nigel Twiston-Davies and DOUBLE ROSS. The 12-year-old has a solid record fresh and his fourth in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham back in March was an excellent performance. Play The Ace has been in good form over the summer and brings match sharpness to the table, while Vaniteux remains nicely treated and is one to note.

DOUBLE ROSS may be rising 13 but he's been given a chance by the handicapper and gets the vote with his sights lowered considerably on return. Play The Ace has been running well over hurdles and is back on his last winning mark over fences, while unexposed 10-y-o Ballyboker Breeze is another to consider.
