Four for the Festival: Luke Harvey

With the Cheltenham Festival fast approaching, we've asked ATR presenters to nominate their four top fancies for the big meeting. Here Get In! host Luke Harvey gets the ball rolling with his selections.

"Living less than three miles from Nicky Henderson's Seven Barrow stables I have obviously been monitoring his team very closely. Stable confidence couldn't be higher and while he may struggle to match last year's magnificent seven he looks sure to have another fantastic meeting.

Sprinter Sacre looks a banker and I just can't have ex-Flat racer Overturn beating Simonsig, but the value bet from the stable is surely Grandouet in the Champion Hurdle. While Hurricane Fly is a worthy favourite he doesn't look quite the horse he was to me and I believe Grandouet has the most potential for improvement.

The best bet at this year's Festival is the Paul Webber-trained Cantlow. Having made steady progress throughout the season I've no doubt he'll be a better horse on faster ground and with conditions coming in his favour he looks banker material. He has a variety of handicap options but I'd favour the three-mile JLT Chase on Tuesday.

Another horse who could be well-handicapped is Wonderful Charm in the Coral Cup. Paul Nicholls thought him good enough to warrant an entry in the World Hurdle and while he's probably short enough in the betting for a race of this nature I'm willing to take a chance.

Every man and his dog seem to want to take on Long Run in the Gold Cup but for the life of me I can't see why. Already a winner of the race he's been in good form in both starts this season but I expect further improvement with addition of cheekpieces. While not ungenuine he does race lazily and the headgear will help the jockey in the latter stages. I've no doubt that the sheepskins will also help his jumping; to my eyes he's a classic horse who'll improve for headgear.
