A massive part of the build-up to the Festival in recent years has been the huge array of Festival Preview evenings that are staged in the fortnight before the big meeting. Held in comfortable surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere and free-flowing booze, panellists can often give away a little more than they would under the glare of a TV camera and microphone.
