Best-selling author Jilly Cooper is one of the many celebrities attending a reunion of Raceform, producers of the official form book, in London on Wednesday.
Grand National legend Bob Champion, who overcame cancer to win the world's greatest steeplechase on Aldaniti in 1981, is another of the special guests at the event organised by former Raceform employees Will Lefebve and Roger Plummer.
Among other personalities invited to the sponsored lunch at the Candlemaker pub, round the corner from the old Raceform offices in Battersea, include racing presenter Derek Thompson and commentator Simon Holt.
A trilby belonging to the 'voice of racing' Sir Peter O'Sullevan is one of the prizes in a raffle with proceeds going to the Injured Jockeys' Fund.
"I never dreamt it would become as a big an occasion as it's going to be. The idea was to have perhaps 20 or 30 people but it's been great fun organising it," said Lefebve.
