2 wins from 6 runs this year and back on track when second of 9 in nursery at Chelmsford City (6f) 6 days ago. Should give another good account.

Disappointed in Windsor Castle last time but had won both his starts prior to that and has to enter calculations on handicap debut.

Much improved, in first-time tongue strap, when landing 14-runner minor event at Ripon (6f, good) 22 days ago. Type to progress further and looks well treated on handicap bow.

Promise on first 2 starts but needs to bounce back from below-par Salisbury effort last time, and opening mark could have been kinder on switch to handicapping.

Verdict

Mark Johnston has won the last two renewals of this contest with Montataire and Rufus King and the Middleham maestro has a live chance of completing a hat-trick with I AM A DREAMER. The selection won back-to-back 6f sprints at York earlier in the season and although he struggled in the Coventry, finishing over 10 lengths behind the impressive winner Calyx, his latest handicap effort at Chelmsford, when runner-up over 6f, confirmed he's back on track. Unexposed novice winners James Watt and Semoum look best of the rest.

Verdict

It's hard to look past SEMOUM, who upped his form a notch when making all at Ripon last month and likely has more to give now switched to handicapping. James Watt has his sights lowered after finishing well held at Royal Ascot last time and rates the principal danger.
