Winner of 2 of her 4 starts here last season, including a C&D handicap off 2 lb lower in September. Largely below par on AW since the turn of the year but she'll be a danger to all if bouncing back.

Improved when upped to 2m last season, winning twice, and she didn't shape at all badly on recent return at Kempton. That run will have blow away the cobwebs and she enters calculations.

Verdict

CAPE LIBERTY has gone well on her two attempts at an extended 1m6f lately, winning once at Doncaster and finishing second there latest, and the Cape Cross filly could have more to come now trying an extra two furlongs from what appears still a workable mark. Course and distance winner St Mary's has to be respected, while Piedita scored twice at the distance last season and remains an unexposed quantity.

Verdict

The 3-y-o CAPE LIBERTY receives a handy weight-for-age allowance and should prove hard to beat. The Cape Cross filly has improved switched to handicaps the last twice, this step up in trip should be in her favour and she remains unexposed. Notice held her form well in good quality handicaps last season and she is next on the list ahead of Piedita and St Mary's.
