Shaped as if still in good form when second of 10 in 12f Ascot handicap last month, though no match for clear-cut winner and is proving hard to place.

Held his form extremely well this season and arguably unlucky not to win at Hamilton (12.1f) 2 weeks ago, making headway when not clear run over 1f out. Major chance with claimer back aboard.

Verdict

JABBAAR has been running consistently well all year and, with an impressive course record of five places and a win from seven visits, he looks like the one they all have to beat. Twin Star finished second off this mark on Shergar Cup day at Ascot and he rates the biggest threat, ahead of Gabrial's King, a past C&D scorer who is back on the same mark as when hitting the crossbar at Beverley in mid-July.

Verdict

JABBAAR has held his form extremely well this season and appeals as the most solid option. The dangerously-weighted Gabrial's King may emerge as the chief threat.
