Verdict

Ball D'arc ran well to finish third in a Grade 2 at Down Royal last weekend but he does have to give 9lb to ORDINARY WORLD, who finished a couple of lengths in front of him at Punchestown in April. Henry De Bromhead's seven-year-old was a consistent performer last season and he has a good record when fresh. American Tom remains lightly raced for a six-year-old but he has shown plenty of promise in his short career to date.

Verdict

AMERICAN TOM clearly wasn't himself when last seen here in January and is worth another chance to show he's a possible contender for top honours as the strength behind him in the market on every start for this yard suggests he has a lofty reputation. Ordinary World and Ball d'Arc have some smart form to their name and look the obvious threats to Willie Mullins' charge.
