95,000 gns yearling, Teofilo filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including very smart 1¼m-1½m winner Universal and 9f-10.4f winner Windward Passage. Dam ran once. Market check advised on debut.

Verdict

ALEXANA showed a great attitude when winning on debut in a decent-looking maiden at Lingfield and this well-bred filly, from the family of stout stayers Duncan, Samuel, and Gretchen, can continue her progression through the ranks. French Heroine was fourth in a good novice contest at Doncaster behind the promising Willie John and is respected, along with newcomer Just Wait, a half-sister to Group 2 winner Universal.

Verdict

ALEXANA justified strong support when making a winning racecourse bow at Lingfield last month and looks sure to improve. She can follow up here. Inpromptu could have more to give over this longer trip and looks the obvious danger.
