Multiple winner in 2017 but yet to fire in a couple of outings this year and is hard to recommend.

Verdict

Tanasoq has an obvious chance on the back of his four-timer but the handicapper may just have his mark now. With that in mind, preference is for SPRING LOADED, who was an eyecatching ninth in the Wokingham and as that was his first run since November, there is likely to be some improvement to come. Major Jumbo finished third in the big Royal Ascot handicap and can be expected to go well once again, although he is up to a career-high mark now. Others who merit each-way consideration are Haddaf, Line Of Reason and Polybius.

Verdict

TANASOQ is in the form of his life at present and landed the four-timer with the minimum of fuss at Chester a fortnight ago. He finds himself on a career-high mark now but could well be up to extending his winning run further yet. Stable-companion Line of Reason may provide the biggest threat, whilst Copper Knight and Major Jumbo are also much respected.

Royal Hunt Cup winner in 2017 and quickly shrugged off a lesser effort in this year's renewal when making all in 4-runner listed event at Windsor 2 weeks ago. More on plate at this level.

Verdict

LORD GLITTERS has proven to be a consistent performer since joining this yard and he arrives following a second-placed finish in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot. Fast ground should not be a problem based on that evidence and he sets the standard. Beat The Bank was back in sixth in the Queen Anne but he met trouble in running and may get closer to David O'Meara's grey. Eminent has yet to hit top form in 2018 but cannot be discounted based on his form from last season, while Century Dream and Suedois also warrant respect.

Verdict

LORD GLITTERS took yet another step forward for this yard when second in the Queen Anne at the Royal meeting and is taken to confirm his superiority over Century Dream and Beat The Bank in what is a very competitive renewal of this Group 2. French-raider Trais Fluors is also respected.

Verdict

MENDOZA confirmed the promise that he displayed on debut by filling third place in the Woodcote at Epsom early last month. If he can run to that level again, he will be hard to beat in a race of this nature. Glory and Hieronymus are others who may go well based on previous efforts, while Miss Enigma and Nuremberg are two interesting newcomers.

Verdict

MENDOZA looks capable of winning a race like this and gets the nod under Dettori. Nuremberg is an interesting newcomer, particularly if the market speaks in his favour, while Glory showed promise amidst inexperience on debut and could leave that bare form behind now.

Verdict

ESCAPE THE CITY ran an excellent race at 66-1 when third in the Sandringham at the Royal meeting and should have come on markedly for the outing given that it was her first run since December. This represents a drop in class, and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa off just 2lb higher is certainly a positive. Lady Freyja ran on well for victory at Yarmouth, while Considered Opinion is a reliable type at this level and appears poised to go well once again.

Verdict

HUNNI was strong at the finish when runner-up on first try at 1m at Wetherby 3 weeks ago, and with that race already working out, she could be the way to go. Beshaayir likely has a bigger performance in her and a tongue tie may help, while Considered Opinion is a straightforward and likeable type.

Fairly useful form when reaching the frame in Leicester novice and Chester maiden over this trip in his 2 outings this season. Likely he has more to offer now handicapping.

Verdict

EXTRA ELUSIVE held an Irish Derby entry not long before his successful Nottingham comeback and he can maintain his unbeaten record. This looks to be the Roger Charlton-trained colt's trip and although easier ground would be preferable, he evidently has bags of talent and can take advantage of an opening handicap mark of 86. Elwazir was turned over at odds-on in the autumn but bounced back when winning at Sandown on his reappearance, and Capton is another name to note.

Verdict

Progressive 3-y-os EXTRA ELUSIVE and Elwazir look ahead of their opening marks and are the pair to focus on here. The former has created a very good impression when landing both his starts and is narrowly preferred.
