Looks of little account nowadays.

Verdict

AGAMEMMON was making his seasonal and stable debut when finishing second at Huntingdon last month and he should be very hard to beat off the same mark this afternoon. Truckers Highway won well at Worcester late last month and he has an obvious chance once again today, despite a 5lb rise in the ratings. Barton Rose may be a touch high in the ratings to win today but this likeable mare should be in the mix.

Verdict

AGAMEMMON failed to justify support sent chasing on his first outing since leaving Tom Lacey after 7 months off at Huntingdon but still shaped very well to finish second and is taken to go one better. Halo Moon looked a chaser to keep on side but does have a long absence to overcome, while Truckers Highway has an all-or-nothing profile.

Has looked quirky but won 3 times on heavy over hurdles last season at up to 19f. 11 lengths second of 4 on Wetherby chase debut/reappearance and should be wiser with that experience under belt.

Verdict

A very competitive contest but the preference has to be for RENE'S GIRL, who beat Dusky Legend by 11 lengths at Worcester last month and that pair meet on the same terms today. The Nipper is a very talented mare and she bumped into a useful gelding when filling second place on her chase debut at Wetherby recently. Lady Buttons is another with claims, while Mariah's Legend needs to improve to be successful today.

Verdict

RENE'S GIRL had Dusky Legend 11 lengths behind when making a successful start over fences at Worcester last month. There's a good chance Alan King's mare will get closer to her on this occasion but the verdict still goes the way of Dan Skelton's charge.

Lightly-raced over hurdles for Dan Skelton in recent times but last month's Newton Abbot second was up there with the pick of his efforts. Mark workable on that evidence returned to chasing.

Verdict

POTTERS LEGEND made the frame in some very competitive handicap chases last season and he is arguably the one to beat today. Sir Mangan makes his first chase appearance since April 2015 and he has to be given chance today based on his hurdles form in 2017. Actinpieces should remain competitive despite a 5lb rise for her recent Fakenham victory, while Dusky Lark has to be noted given his consistency.

Verdict

POTTERS LEGEND remains with potential in handicap chases this term and with his recent Chepstow return likely to have put him spot on for a tilt at this, he gets the nod in the hope he jumps more fluently. Sir Mangan appeals as being on a handy mark back over fences and is feared, as is the in-form Dusky Lark.

Modest form in bumpers in 2015/16 and easily passed over on belated return.

Verdict

IF THE CAP FITS created a very strong impression when bolting up on his hurdles debut at Exeter having shown real promise in bumpers last season and should prove capable of defying a penalty here. Demon D'aunou is the other top weight and he is respected on his Market Rasen success, while Commodore is one to watch on his first start for Venetia Williams.

Verdict

IF THE CAP FITS won with authority on hurdling bow at Exeter last month, and he’s very much one to follow this season. Demon d’Aunou also looked a good prospect when winning at Market Rasen recently, and is sure to progress and win more races in this sphere, while Equus Millar remains with potential, and is another to consider in what is likely to be an informative event.

Verdict

Midnight Tour ended last season on a high when bolting up against her own sex in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham's April meeting and a 12lb rise in the weights looks more than fair. Alan King has his string in good form at present but she returns from a break and preference is for DASHING OSCAR as he only went up 4lb for beating Diable De Sivola at Fontwell. Cool Sky and Loverboy complete the shortlist.

Verdict

MIDNIGHT TOUR can boast a really good strike rate, and though a 12 lb rise in the weights asks for more, she is capable fresh and her limit may not have been reached yet. Cool Sky chases a hat-trick and represents a yard in rude health, while the enigmatic Buywise figures on a dangerous mark if fully wound up for this.

Poor maiden on the Flat and ran to just a similar level in a couple of juvenile hurdles last month.

Verdict

Alan King is a trainer who has a fine record with juvenile hurdlers and he looks to have a decent prospect in the shape of PAGEBURG. An impressive winner on the Flat in France back in April, he will have been well schooled in the lead up to his British debut and could easily prove a cut above the opposition. Erick Le Rouge is a half-brother to the former smart chaser Ornais and is respected along with Snookered.

Verdict

Those with experience haven't achieved much and this will likely go the way of a hurdling newcomer. PAGEBURG won his sole start on the Flat in France and gets the nod having joined Alan King. Erick Le Rouge is a likely type on paper for a stable which does well in these events, while Beach Break achieved enough on the Flat to suggest he can make the grade over hurdles.
