Foaled February 16. Lilbourne Lad filly. Dam 7f-8.6f winner.

Verdict

Give Em A Clump and Uther Pendragon need to improve on their debut runs to take a hand and the newcomers make most appeal. Tom Dascombe inmate BIG TIME MAYBE gets the verdict as his half-brother, Angelic Lord, was sharp and struck first time out. Richard Hannon's Mutanaaseq is a half-brother to the smart Ahlan Emarati, while Diamond Dougal's dam hails from the same family as useful sprinter Minalisa.

Verdict

MUTANAASEQ is a half-brother to the 2014 winner of this race and represents an in-form yard, so has plenty going for him. Mick Channon has won this twice since 2011 and also had ones go well in subsequent renewals so his Diamond Dougal has to be respected, while Big Time Maybe also ticks lots of boxes on paper.

Form patchy without success, though did seem to stay 2m when tackling that trip in November.

Verdict

WORDINESS boasts winning C&D form and has dropped 20lb lower than his last winning (all-weather) mark. That success did come back in 2015 but his recent course third over 1m5f was a solid effort in the context of this contest. Danglydontask is proven under these conditions and is worth a market check on his return from a 191-day break. Moon Over Mobay, who has been absent since December, has also slipped to a fair mark.

Verdict

Not a strong race and WORDINESS looks to have a great shout back down in class after a string of good efforts. Danglydontask is also a C&D winner and he ran well on his reappearance last season.

2 from 2 at Dundalk, driven out to land 7f event on return last month. Back sprinting on turf and not sure she'll be up to this class.

Verdict

PRICELESS signed off last season with a Listed success at Doncaster and although she's penalised here as a consequence, she is expected to pick up where she left off last year and go well on terms that still appear favourable. Evil Spell debuts for Robert Cowell and is interesting as a Listed winner/Group 3-placed sprinter in Italy, while Buying Trouble is entitled to build on her sixth in the Cammidge and could also figure.

Verdict

PRICELESS looks the class act here and remains unexposed over 5f on the back of her Doncaster success when last seen. She can make a winning return before having her sights raised. Evil Spell is interesting on debut for Robert Cowell having won twice in Italy, while Glenrowan Rose could yet show more if not starting slowly again.

Losing run mounting up, although application of a first-time visor saw her make more of an impact when 1 length fourth at Wolverhampton (12f) 2 weeks ago. Needs to replicate that back on turf.

Verdict

Attain has been knocking on the door when campaigned around this trip on the all-weather recently and appears a sensible starting point, though he's seemingly vulnerable for win purposes. It might be worth chancing CAPTAIN GEORGE, who is 6lb higher than when striking over C&D last year but ran well off an intermediate mark in September and has had a recent blowout over hurdles. Lady Rocka is worth a market check now cheekpieces are applied.

Verdict

ATTAIN is able to race off a lower mark back on turf, and having acquitted himself with plenty of credit on AW since the turn of the year, he gets the nod. Spirit of The Vale and Captain George head up the dangers.

Improved model this spring, following up his Wolverhampton success at Southwell (11f) 17 days ago, showing a good attitude in a tight finish. Clear player in hat-trick bid from 5 lb higher.

Verdict

Apres Midi signed off last year by winning a Hamilton maiden and is worth a market check now making her handicap debut on her return. Princess Nia and Tuolumne Meadows cannot be ruled out on their handicap debuts either, but with the potential benefit of having a recent run under her belt, the vote goes to Mark Johnston's hat-trick-seeker STAR OF LOMBARDY, who kept on determinedly to score over 1m3f at Southwell latest.

Verdict

STAR OF LOMBARDY arrives in great heart, showing a willing attitude to score again at Southwell earlier this month, and she gets the nod to complete the hat-trick back on turf. Apres Midi, who made it fourth time lucky at Hamilton last summer, may well emerge as the chief threat now handicapping on return.

Made the frame all 3 starts in AW maidens, though failed to improve any more despite having race-fitness on her side at Chelmsford (10f) 8 days ago. Still, she's entitled to be in the mix.

Verdict

INTERNATIONAL LAW appears to be improving between runs and gets the verdict on the back of his Newbury second in October. The fitting of first-time cheekpieces could unlock improvement from Brian Meehan's charge on his seasonal bow. Fiendish was touched off by a head in a 1m maiden at Chelmsford on her penultimate outing, while it is possible the step up from 7f can elicit improvement from Manton Grange.

Verdict

INTERNATIONAL LAW was much sharper for his debut effort and showed fairly useful form when runner-up at Newbury in the autumn. He is narrowly suggested to make it third time lucky, with Desert Explorer and Fiendish, who is being kept busy, others to consider in an open-looking maiden.

Slipped in the weights and bounced back to best when runner-up at Wolverhampton (6f) in November (albeit not really getting race run to suit). Not discounted for each-way purposes on return.

Verdict

ASHWAQ made a winning return when landing a distance maiden at Kempton last month and is expected to remain competitive off an opening mark of 77 now going handicapping. Mr Pocket is only 3lb higher than when scoring at Wolverhampton in November and is worth a market check on his return to action, though the main danger to the selection may be Goodwood Crusader, who is penalised for his C&D win last week.

Verdict

GOODWOOD CRUSADER impressed with the manner of his success when landing a C&D maiden last week and a repeat should see him go very close under a penalty. Ashwaq is a likely improver now handicapping, so is feared, along with Mr Pocket.
