Thrice-raced maiden. 8/1, third of 8 in minor event at Lingfield (6f, good to firm) 19 days ago. Up in trip. Getting better with each run.

Verdict

VENTURA KNIGHT has been running in credit on his last couple of starts and the son of Casamento can get his career off the mark now stepped up in trip having put up his best performance so far at Lingfield last time. Ed Dunlop's Global Wealth was fifth in a hot Newmarket novice event on debut and is entitled to improve here, while James Tate's newcomer Equidae changed hands for 38,000 guineas last month and is worth keeping an eye on in the market.

Verdict

GLOBAL WEALTH made a promising debut at Newmarket and is taken to open his account with improvement in the offing. Ventura Knight is getting better with each run and looks the obvious danger.

Verdict

CAROL's fourth at Sandown last time could end up looking a lot better than the bare numbers suggest, and a repeat of that performance could see the daughter of Acclamation break her duck here. The Frankel filly Harba is respected and improved for the step up in trip at Yarmouth last time, with this stiff track set to suit, while you would be foolish to discount Sir Michael Stoute's Flourishing, with Graham Lee in the saddle.

Verdict

WAIITING A LOT has plenty going for her on paper, and it would be no surprise if she were able to make a winning start. The once-raced Flourishing needs to improve to play a leading role, but could easily do so.

Useful mare. 50/1, 10¾ lengths last of 12 to Priceless in Temple Stakes at Haydock (5f, firm) 24 days ago. Back at a more realistic level.

Verdict

THESME hasn't been seen to best effect so far this term but she's kept good company in the Palace House and Temple Stakes and could benefit from the switch to calmer waters this evening. She typically shows plenty of early dash and could be a danger to all in this small field if let loose on the front end. C&D winner Hoof It returns from an absence, so the main danger may be the thriving Judicial, who romped to an easy victory in a similar contest at Chester latest.

Verdict

JUDICIAL has always possessed his fair share of talent and is suddenly better than ever, so the hat-trick is very much on here. Thesme was progressive in 2016 and this race is more suitable than the Group 2 she contested last time, so she is feared most.

Promising sort. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Latest win at Catterick in May. 5/4, good second of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (12.2f) 19 days ago, left poorly placed. On a lenient mark.

Verdict

CAMERONE was pitched in at Listed level on her seasonal return at Lingfield and missed out on landing some black type, finishing fourth. She could feasibly take a forward step now moving into a handicap, however. High On Light was narrowly beaten off 1lb lower at Newcastle in February and has strong claims, while La Vie En Rose also has plenty to recommend her, despite seeing her winning sequence halted at Wolverhampton earlier this month.

Verdict

LA VIE EN ROSE arguably enhanced her reputation despite failing to complete the hat-trick at Wolverhampton 19 days ago, doing really well to finish second given the position she had to come from, and the strong feeling remains that she is still ahead of her mark. Camerone tackled listed company on her return and remains with potential at this level.

Verdict

ALFRED RICHARDSON has improved on his two-year-old form on both of his outings in handicap company this year, which has included a win at Pontefract, and the stiff finish will no doubt play to his strengths here. Marbooh ran a lot better last time when third at Chelmsford and could have more to offer along with recent course runner-up Make On Madam.

Verdict

Having made a successful handicap debut at Pontefract in April, ALFRED RICHARDSON kept on well for third at Ripon, and with this stiffer track expected to suit, he is taken to quickly regain the winning thread. Previous C&D winners Make On Madam and Beadlam should be in the thick of things.

50/1, last of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 17 days ago. Significantly up in trip.

Verdict

BROMANCE improved for the step up in trip when landing a handicap over C&D last month, despite hanging badly in the closing stages, and a 4lb rise could just underestimate the authority in which he won by. Diamond Runner has been consistently running well of late so is respected once again, while others of note include Melgate Melody, who returns to turf after a good spell on the all-weather, and C&D winner Bit Of A Quirke.

Verdict

LEAN ON PETE is proving hard to predict but he ran creditably having done plenty in front over C&D last time and could be worth chancing with his yard in good form. Bit of A Quirke was a game winner over this C&D before racing closer to the pace than ideal at Ayr and is another to consider, while Bromance had a few of these behind when scoring over C&D 3 weeks ago.
