Ninth of 12 in handicap at Yarmouth (11.5f, good, 80/1) 27 days ago, hampered.

Verdict

Light Of Air has been in solid form of late, twice filling the runner-up spot in recent Flat outings at Sandown and over 1m4f here. The drop to this trip didn't work last time, though, so perhaps LET ME IN will prove too strong. Bernard Llewellyn's gelding is not the most consistent, but he got within a length of success at Bath last time and gets another chance off the same mark. Cricklewood Green is interesting on his form over shorter trips.

Verdict

LIGHT OF AIR put in another good shift at this venue when third a fortnight ago and having been eased 1 lb since, he could be the answer. Let Me In and Cricklewood Green head the opposition.

Promising type. 12/1, second of 9 in minor event at Newmarket (7f, good to soft) 31 days ago. Should improve and she's the one to beat.

Verdict

RED ARMOUR showed significant improvement from her debut at Yarmouth to finish second at Newmarket last time, and the winner from that latest race has since gone in again. Elysian Lady has had plenty of supporters on her last two outings and may do so again, though patience must be starting to wear thin with her. Picture Poet has claims if forgiven his latest outing at Chelmsford, while Limelighter is a newcomer to note.

Verdict

RED ARMOUR stepped forward from her debut when runner-up in a minor event at Newmarket a month ago, and with further progress on the cards, is taken to go one better. Comeonfeeltheforce is also capable of better, while Limelighter starts out at a realistic level.

Verdict

Violet's Lads has gone close on her last two outings but those efforts haven't evaded the attention of the handicapper, while Emily Goldfinch and Watch Tan both get another chance off their respective marks despite going close on their latest outings. This looks all about IMBUCATO, though, as he made it two wins from three starts at this track last time and goes unpenalised for that latest success as it was in an apprentice race.

Verdict

IMBUCATO was seen to good effect under Poppy Bridgwater when landing a 1m handicap here last week, but even so he was nicely on top at the line and escapes a penalty, so he should make a bold follow-up bid. Passing Star and Violet's Lads head the opposition.

Verdict

FREEBE ROCKS has been enduring a torrid time of it this season. After winning at Lingfield in March, Michael Bell's gelding had dropped 15lb in the handicap after a series of poor runs, but he hinted at a revival at Leicester last time and could have been found a good opportunity here. Live Dangerously's last two runs over this C&D have resulted in wins so he has to be considered a threat, while Cruel Clever Cat has shown some ability here in the past.

Verdict

FREEBE ROCKS is very well weighted on his AW form, and his recent third at Leicester confirms he can do it on turf, so he makes plenty of appeal. Dance Me is second choice, though Admirable Art is dangerous if scaling a revival with Adam Kirby booked.

Career best when winning 7-runner handicap at this C&D (good, 11/8) 7 days ago. Carries a penalty but is clearly in excellent nick.

Verdict

ARCANISTA has been a revelation since finding this track to her liking of late, winning back-to-back races over track and trip. A 6lb penalty for her most recent success looks fair and she is taken to land the hat-trick at the expense of Andalusite, who won as she pleased over a furlong further here last time. Godolphin's Kaser merits respect, as does the consistent Wiley Post, who won on his last visit to this track.

Verdict

ANDALUSITE's all-the-way success over 7f at this venue last month is backed up by the clock, and she could have been hit harder than a 5 lb rise, so is selected to go in again back in trip. Arcanista is in top form and has to be feared, along with Wiley Post.

Verdict

DUGGARY has been campaigned almost exclusively on the all-weather and though his previous turf form is little to write home about, he has been improving markedly in recent outings, most notably when a close second at Chelmsford last time. Sir Fred was not disgraced at Yarmouth latest and is capable of a big run, while Rocksette was third over 10 furlongs here latest and could flourish up in trip.

Verdict

KIRKLAND FOREVER had no chance with a well-handicapped rival over C&D a month ago, but she beat the rest, and having been eased 1 lb, is of strong interest down in class. Rocksette has been expensive to follow throughout her career but is expected to be on the premises, with Frantical completing the shortlist.

Verdict

Baashiq won nicely at Wolverhampton last time but his recent efforts on turf have left a lot to be desired, while The Lords Walk and Barrsbrook have both been running well in defeat but seem to find wins hard to come by. NARJES, on the other hand, struck with some authority over course and distance two starts ago and has since gone close at Sandown, suggesting she remains at the top of her game.

Verdict

This looks open, with NARJES the selection having worked her way back to form last month, and though her revised mark has now kicked in, it remains a workable one. Barrsbrook has the ability to win a race like this and a breathing operation may help his finishing effort. Baashiq is also considered.
