Once-raced filly. 9/1, third of 6 in minor event at Bath (5f, good to firm) on debut 18 days ago, never nearer. Should have more to offer.

Verdict

ALASKA was touched off over course and distance by the narrowest of margins last time but can gain compensation now and the son of Kodiac can land his first victory of his fledgling career. Archie Watson's Poignant is respected on his earlier form, but needs to leave his latest effort in the past, while Ursus Belle is entitled to improve on his debut third when he was behind a useful youngster from the Roger Varian stable.

Verdict

URSUS BELLE can build on her Bath debut and open her account here. Alaska has solid place claims again for all he didn't look too comfortable on this track last week, while Prime Chief is a newcomer to note.

Last of 6 in handicap (12/1) at this course (8f, good) 8 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time. Something to find on form.

Verdict

Beepeecee arrives here in fine form having scored at Salisbury last time and is respected under a 6lb penalty for that triumph with Finley Marsh retaining the ride. Whiteley is respected cutting back a furlong but the nod goes to the hat-trick seeking PASS THE CRISTAL who followed up his course and distance win last month by battling bravely to victory at Beverley 10 days ago and can go well again despite an extra 5lb rise.

Verdict

BEEPEECEE has his quirks but can follow up his Salisbury win if in the same mood here. Pass The Cristal is seeking a hat-trick and has obvious claims with his form looking solid.

3-time C&D winner. Bit below form seventh of 13 in handicap (25/1) at Kempton (7f) 13 days ago. Blinkers back on. Respected back here.

Verdict

Honiara was touched off by a short-head on his last start at Lingfield in February and wouldn't need to find much improvement in order to strike on his return from a break. Marginal preference, however, is for C&D winner BLACK CAESAR, who struck over 6f here earlier in the month to advertise his well-being and is considered the safest option. Fast Dancer is fitted with a first-time visor in a bid to spark a return to form and has slipped to an attractive mark.

Verdict

HONIARA ran well in a useful Lingfield handicap when last seen and could be the one to beat on his return from a gelding operation. Good Luck Charm is back below his last successful mark and is respected as a 3-time C&D winner.

Verdict

LET'S BE HAPPY took a step forward when stepped up beyond a mile last time, finishing a fair second over 1m4f at Lingfield. It is possible she can build on that effort again now cutting back in trip and fitted with first-time cheekpieces. Zamadance is sliding down the ratings and could feasibly play a supporting role if building on his Haydock fourth latest, while Chunkyfunkymonkey is seemingly coming to the boil and could also take a hand.

Verdict

CHUNKYFUNKYMONKEY ran well from the front at Goodwood last time and might be hard to catch if similar tactics are deployed here. Niseko could do better now handicapping, while Zamadance can be in the money again.

Verdict

LUNAR DEITY could be hard to stop here on the back of his 10-length Yarmouth triumph last week and he escapes any rise in the handicap with that victory coming in an apprentice contest under regular rider Milly Naseb, who retains the ride tonight. Waggle caught the eye at Chelmsford last time and should have better to offer in time while Live Dangerously comes here on the back of a track success earlier this month and must be respected now adding an extra furlong in this.

Verdict

LUNAR DEITY races off the same mark as when successful at Yarmouth last week and is hard to get away from. Live Dangerously remains well treated on his best form after a 3 lb rise for his latest win here and is feared most.

Verdict

SWISS CROSS appreciated his trip over to Jersey when winning the Jersey Bullet by an emphatic seven lengths and his form leading into that had still been fairly consistent. The booking of Finley Marsh looks a notable one with him able to claim a valuable 7lb. Pushkin Museum is consistent and merits respect on his recent performances, while Gold Club and Jersey Breeze both warrant a second look.

Verdict

GOLD CLUB has dropped to a good mark and could be worth chancing in the hope he can bounce back to the form he was in when twice placed in the spring. Recent Jersey-winner Swiss Cross is the obvious danger with the promising Finley Marsh up.

Verdict

DEER SONG has been in decent form lately and outran his 25/1 odds when second at Goodwood behind Danecase, when only going down by a head, and this looks a good opportunity for John Bridger's charge to get off the mark at long last. Camino merits respect on his recent all-weather form, while Ask The Guru is capable if bouncing back to form.

Verdict

DEER SONG certainly isn't one for maximum faith being a 30-race maiden but he just failed at Goodwood last time and could finally break his duck if in the same form. Camino could be the danger having a rare start back on turf.
