Verdict

BERRYESSA was only beaten by one length when fifth off this mark at Wolverhampton and is expected to give another good account over the same distance. Bahamian Heights was narrowly beaten over 6f at Kempton last time and should be thereabouts if running to a similar level of form over this shorter trip. The pick of the remainder may be hat-trick-seeker Swendab, who is 5lb higher than when striking at Wolverhampton latest.

Verdict

Plenty to consider, with DUNDUNAH chanced after a big effort at Newcastle last time. Swendab can't be ruled out from stall 1 in his hat-trick bid, while Bahamian Heights is holding it together for once under his young claimer and could also figure again.

Once-raced maiden. 40/1, sixth of 9 in minor event at Brighton (8f, soft) on debut 59 days ago. Type to do better later on.

Verdict

David Simcock representative NICE SHOT appears to be improving between runs and is taken to build on his 6f Newcastle third last month now fitted with a first-time hood and also now granted this stiffer test. Court House should be all the wiser for the experience gained on debut over this trip at Kempton and is feared most, while any money for Marco Botti's newcomer, Artieshow, may also be worth noting.

Verdict

COURT HOUSE shaped promisingly amidst obvious inexperience on debut at Kempton in September, and he appears as the type to make above-average improvement. Nice Shot is entitled to progress further, while Artieshow is an interesting newcomer for the Marco Botti yard and worth a check in the betting.

Verdict

PEARL NATION was turned over at odds-on in a 7f seller at Southwell last time and failed to run to his mark. He's due to be dropped 7lb in future, though he is entitled to come on for that outing, which was his first start since February, and may still prove too strong for his rivals on these terms. Intermodal and Tadaany score lowly in the consistency stakes but have viable place claims if putting their best foot forward.

Verdict

PEARL NATION is evidently not the force of old, but is entitled to come on for last week's Southwell run after 10 months off and is hard to get away from on these terms. Tadaany is still capable of fairly useful displays and could be the big danger if turning up in top form.

Fair form when third over 7f here on the first of 2 starts for Simon Crisford in the spring. Drop to 6f shapes as if it could suit. Bold bid expected on return for new trainer Archie Watson.

Verdict

73-rated Jamie Osborne inmate KINGOFMERROWS was beaten by under a length over this trip at Newcastle last time out and should be thereabouts if running to a similar level of form this evening. Former Simon Crisford runner Karijini is worth a market check on her first start for her new, shrewd, trainer, while it would come as no surprise to see Dirayah, an 825,000gns purchase as a yearling, go well on her racecourse debut.

Verdict

KARIJINI ran to a fair level when third over 7f here on the first of 2 starts in the spring. The drop to 6f could help on her first run for Archie Watson and she's preferred to Kingofmerrows, who made a sound return from an absence at Newcastle recently. Market support for very well bred newcomer Dirayah would also bring her into the reckoning.

Verdict

ICE ROYAL is turned out under a penalty after scoring over 1m here last week and may well be able to follow up if improving for this step up in trip. Breanski is 5lb higher than when scoring over a mile at Newcastle last time and is another for whom this stiffer test may be a source of immediate improvement. The pick of the remainder may be Tha'ir if he can build on his recent second in a Wolverhampton claimer.

Verdict

THA'IR took a step back in the right direction last time and might be worth siding with to build on that off a mark 22 lb lower than which he started the season. Breanski has thrived for a switch to AW and fitting of a visor in recent starts and is much respected for the David O'Meara team, while last week's course winner Ice Royal is likely to give another good account of himself.
