Verdict

Archie Watson's GOLD ARROW should be all the wiser for the experience gained on debut at Leicester and is expected to go one better now upped in trip. Fox Coach was sent off favourite at Newbury last time and although he was touched off into second, he's seemingly improving with experience and could appreciate this additional furlong. Likewise Seductive, who has the assistance of Ryan Moore in the saddle.

Verdict

SEDUCTIVE has put in her best work in the latter stages of both her starts thus far so should improve now granted a longer trip. She can get off the mark. Gold Arrow and Fox Coach look the likeliest dangers.

Once-raced maiden. 66/1, last of 8 in minor event at Nottingham (10.2f, good) on debut 25 days ago. Down in trip.

Verdict

UMMALNAR was off the mark at the first time of asking in a 1m novice contest at Newmarket and there could be plenty more to come from the daughter of Shamardal, who is a half-sister to the smart Sheikhzayedroad, now she has the benefit of that initial outing behind her. Saguaro and Yuppy Love need to step up plenty on their debut efforts so the main danger may be Roger Varian's newcomer Monteja, who is a half-sister to the classy Nezwaah.

Verdict

It's difficult to look past UMMALNAR, who was an impressive scorer on her Newmarket racecourse bow last month and looks sure to progress. Roger Varian's debutant Monteja may give her most to think about.

Seventeen runs since last win in 2016. Backed into 5/1, creditable fourth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 15 days ago, not clear run. Cheekpieces back on. One to keep an eye on.

Verdict

Shadow Warrior is only 1lb higher than when striking by a head over 1m at Windsor last time and is capable of taking a hand on these terms, though of more interest is THE EAGLE'S NEST, who performed below par on turf last time but could benefit from reverting to the all-weather. He won over C&D in December and is now rated only 2lb higher. Mudallel was outpaced over 7f last time and is expected to improve for the return to a mile.

Verdict

MUDALLEL didn't get much luck when shaping as if back in form at Ayr last time and can resume winning ways with Ryan Moore up. Like the selection, Mr Minerals will be at home back on an artificial surface and he's considered having fallen in the weights. Market support again for Executive Force would be interesting.

Verdict

WISSAHICKON posted his first below-par effort when only beating one rival home at Newmarket in a competitive handicap behind Communique, but he will have been freshened up since by John Gosden and can return to winning form if back on song. Blue Mist shaped with promise throughout last season and could be underestimated by an opening mark of 87, while Three Weeks may improve for a step up in trip on his handicap debut.

Verdict

WISSAHICKON found his progress coming to a halt at Newmarket, but that was a good race, and he's taken to get back on track returned to AW. Three Weeks and Mr Reckless should both have more to offer and are respected also in a tricky handicap.

Verdict

A repeat of CARVELAS' track-and-trip third from earlier this month would see John Jenkins' gelding hard to beat having been dropped 2lb by the assessor. He should play a leading part, along with Lingfield third All About The Pace, who is much more effective at this distance than when tried over further. Dora's Field ran with credit here when tried in blinkers last time and may be worth another chance here.

Verdict

DORA'S FIELD caught the eye over C&D last month, forced wide on the home turn while making headway, and could be worth backing for all she's a 16-race maiden. Carvelas is respected, while Duggary has shown enough to suggest he can win a race and goes in a first-time visor now.

Verdict

Yarmouth winner Wiff Waff has been in fine order at the East Anglian track this summer but needs to prove he is just as effective now switching to a synthetic surface and preference is for COWBOY SOLDIER, who has won two of his five career starts so far. Robert Cowell's Kodiac colt was not disgraced last time when third in a competitive Goodwood handicap and can gain compensation from the same mark. Gold Filigree completes the shortlist.

Verdict

This can go to COWBOY SOLDIER, who has already scored twice and shaped as if there is more victories in the pipeline when a fine third at Goodwood earlier this month. Yarmouth-winner Wiff Waff is feared most.

Only narrowly failed to bag first success in 12-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (14f) 16 days ago. 3 lb higher now but should make presence felt once more.

Verdict

William Haggas' ALEXANDERTHEGREAT has impressed over 1m4f the last twice and looks to land the hat-trick up in trip with Ryan Moore an interesting recruit to the saddle. Lyford has knocked on the door on his last two all-weather outings and looked good at this distance when beaten a nose last time, while Ginger Lady went close over track and trip latest and is another to consider.

Verdict

ALEXANDERTHEGREAT has really thrived since granted a stiffer test of stamina and is chasing a hat-trick after recent victories at Lingfield and Newbury. This longer trip could well see further progress and he is fancied to go in again. Ginger Lady rates the principal danger after an improved effort last time, whilst Lyford is also of interest.
