Verdict

QUEL DESTIN has gained hurdling experience in France, running four times and winning at Auteuil in May before being gelded. He now debuts for Paul Nicholls and is expected to continue on an upward trajectory. Fanfan Du Seuil is another French recruit to monitor closely in the betting now debuting for Tom George, while it would come as no surprise to see Alan King's Flat winner Elysees make a winning introduction on his NH bow.

Verdict

QUEL DESTIN was a fairly useful winner in France and looks an exciting recruit for his powerful stable. Fanfan du Seuil is another winning French recruit, while Elysees showed plenty of ability on the level.

Lightly-raced winner over hurdles. Fairly useful winner at 21f over hurdles. 6/1, below form third of 7 in novice hurdle at this C&D (heavy). Off 8 months. Makes chase debut.

Verdict

CHAMERON has only had one start for Paul Nicholls, finishing second of four in a novice chase at Exeter last November. However, he was a dual hurdles winner in France and he's undergone a wind operation in his time off the track, so he may well be capable of making up for lost time. Debece developed into a useful hurdler last year, finishing third in Grade 1 company at Aintree, and is interesting now debuting over fences. Minella Awards is another who could go well if transferring his best hurdles form over the larger obstacles.

Verdict

French-recruit CHAMERON showed near-useful form when runner-up on chase/yard debut at Exeter 11 months ago and remains a good prospect for connections. Drinks Interval is 2 from 3 over fences and is the obvious threat despite her penalty, while Minella Awards was smart over hurdles and is a very interesting chasing debutant.

Was proving expensive to follow, but things clicked when off the mark in 13-runner novice at Stratford in April and followed up under a penalty at Stratford since. Has had wind a wind operation.

Verdict

Minella Warrior is unbeaten in two outings over hurdles, building on two promising bumper efforts behind the likes of Western Ryder and Kalashnikov. Kim Bailey's gelding won nicely after a break at Uttoxeter and has the potential for further improvement with a first-time tongue tie added. Coolanly finished last season with a good effort at Aintree and the step back up in trip won't prove any issue. However, a chance is taken with GOSHEVEN, who looked a slow burner for Philip Hobbs last season but shaped with plenty of encouragement in two novice hurdles at Kempton and Cheltenham. The fact his trainer is willing to step him up in grade underlines the regard he is held in, and this test looks perfect as he's a half-brother to staying chaser Vesper Bell.

Verdict

COOLANLY’s form looks strong and with this step back up in trip sure to suit he’s worth siding with for a yard bidding to win this race for a second year running. Minella Warrior and Gosheven remain capable of better and are feared most.

Verdict

ON TOUR's record fresh at the start of a new season reads 12121, which makes him appeal hugely once again for Evan Williams. He still looks fairly handicapped on his second to Thomas Patrick at Aintree, and it should be noted that he was travelling well off this mark at Newbury when unseating rider behind Gold Present last December. Bob Ford is likely to prove popular having won this contest 12 months ago - landing a gamble in the process - now running off a 4lb lower mark, while Kings Lad is considered as he bids for a hat-trick over fences.

Verdict

DOUBLE ROSS was fourth in this race last year from 9 lb higher and should be all the better for his return at Perth, so a good run looks on the cards. Exitas was back in the groove when winning at Market Rasen 15 days ago and should remain competitive. On Tour is another to consider given his excellent record fresh.

Winner at Worcester in July and solid efforts in defeat since but may struggle in better company here.

Verdict

BALLYMOY improved from his hurdles debut behind Kalashnikov at Wetherby to remain unbeaten in three starts, culminating in a big handicap success at Sandown's end-of-season fixture. He remains capable of further progression over timber after a 7lb rise from the handicapper. I'm A Game Changer won't mind underfoot conditions having won at Ludlow in April on soft ground, while others to consider include Vado Forte and Not That Fuisse, both of whom arrive with likely improvement to come.

Verdict

HONEST VIC would have gone close but for making a late error when in front at Market Rasen last time, costing him ground and momentum, and can gain compensation here, though there are plenty of feasible alternatives with Ballymoy, I'm A Game Changer and Lovato all worthy of respect.

Third of 8 in minor event chase at Auteuil (21.9f) in April. Off 6 months. Makes UK debut from 6 lb out of the handicap for new yard.

Verdict

BARNEY DWAN put in a fine performance to finish fourth at the Cheltenham Festival back in March and and he is hard to oppose off the same mark, despite falling last time out. Shanahan's Turn only found stablemate Ultragold too good in the Topham two starts ago and he could make the frame once again, while the 2016 winner of this race Art Mauresque also makes the shortlist. Baron Alco brings strong form to the table but the 577-day break is a concern.

Verdict

BARNEY DWAN ran a cracker when fourth in the novice handicap at Cheltenham last March and remains on a workable mark. He is taken to land a tricky-looking contest. Charbel has kept much better company than this and ran creditably on his return last month, whilst the potentially well-handicapped Garde La Victoire is also respected.

Verdict

A bumper that is usually goes to an above-average winner and FONTLEY HOUSE can add his name to the roll of honour today. Tom Georgre picked up the gelding for 40,000 pounds after he finished third in a competitive bumper at Punchestown back in April and that form has worked out well. Alrightjack, Ask Dillon and Comeonthebull are others with previous form under Rules to consider. Mcfabulous, who is a half-brother to the high-class chaser Waiting Patiently, is an interesting newcomer for a yard who have won with race twice in the last four years.

Verdict

ASK DILLON shaped well amidst obvious signs of greenness when runner-up at Towcester in May, hanging right but keeping on. He looks sure to improve and gets the nod to make it second-time lucky. Fontley House ran a cracker on his sole start in Ireland and is feared most, whilst newcomers McFabulous and Lisnagar Oscar are also worth a second look, as is Allonok.
