Recent Flat winner (useful form) who has made a fairly encouraging start over hurdles, making the frame in juveniles at Sandown and Warwick. Should give another good account.

Verdict

Dual Flat winner DOCTOR BARTOLO has taken well two hurdles, striking the crossbar on both occasions, and he could make it third time lucky. Night Of Glory was better than the former on the level but you could argue that his Jumps form thus far hasn't been as strong. Nonetheless, he has shaped with promise and should mount a bold bid, while Kapdad also warrants respect for Gary and Johsua Moore.

Verdict

DOCTOR BARTOLO's form is working out better than Kapdad's, so he earns a narrow vote. Night of Glory should give another good account.

Well held in 2 bumpers/hurdles this winter and likely he's more one for handicaps further down the line.

Verdict

DISTINGO arrived from France with some smart form under his belt but possibly exceeded all expectations when bolting up first time on English soil at Plumpton. The half-brother to recent Irish Champion Hurdle hero Supasundae can improve further for Gary Moore and edges the vote over Plumpton scorer Jaisalmer, who is rated 3lb inferior. The rest appear to be battling it out for third and successful pointer Mighty Vic may win that argument.

Verdict

A strong chance this will develop into a match between last-time-out Plumpton scorers DISTINGO and Jaisalmer, with the former selected to make it 2-2 for new trainer Gary Moore.

Unreliable sort who's very hard to win with. Back on track in a refitted visor when 14 lengths second at Taunton last time but somewhat typically disappointed off the bridle over C&D last time.

Verdict

Bramble Brook has been running consistently well and should give it a good go off top weight, but marginal preference is for Chris Gordon's ROTHMAN. His runner-up effort at Kempton is the best last-time-out form on offer and returning off the same mark, to a venue where he has won in the past, he looks sure to mount a bold bid. Gores Island was bitterly disappointing here latest, but he receives a nice lump of weight off both rivals and is dangerously well handicapped on best form.

Verdict

ROTHMAN ran well when runner-up at Kempton last month, the way he travelled through that race sugesting a try at this sort of trip will suit ideally. He gets the narrow vote, with Bramble Brook fancied to provide the chief threat, though none of the trio find the winning habit easy.

Seemed to show modest form here in summer of 2016, but it's very much a stand out effort.

Verdict

Neil Mulholland saddles two with claims here with the mount of Noel Fehily MINELLATILLMORNING backed to follow up his Taunton victory and is preferred to the well-treated Prettylittlething. Tactical Manoeuvre is another to triumph in Somerset last time and is respected from just 5lb higher, while market support for any of the Gary Moore runners, The Green Ogre and Goldslinger, could be a telling sign.

Verdict

MINELLATILLMORNING and Tactical Manoeuvre won the 2 divisions of a conditional handicap at Taunton 11 days and as such both escape a penalty. Clear preference is with the former though, given he is open to plenty of progress in this sphere.

Won easily (barely off the bridle) at Lingfield in January 2017. Remote third next 2 starts but goes well fresh and returning after 11 months off.

Verdict

SHOCKINGTIMES is hardly the most reliable horse you will find, though, a repeat of his Leicester second off the same handicap mark should see him hard to beat here for Jamie Snowden and Brendan Powell. Redmond was a clear second best to a progressive chaser on his stable debut for Jack Barber but could be capable of plenty more now, while the likeable veteran Turban and Neil Mulholland's consistent Matrow's Lady are others holding claims.

Verdict

SHOCKINGTIMES is a ropey jumper but figures on a good mark and did well under the circumstances (left with too much to do) when runner-up at Leicester last time. Redmond shaped well for a long way when runner-up on debut for this yard at Southwell on his belated return and is entitled to come on for that, while Matrow's Lady is another to consider given her record fresh.

Verdict

SCORPION HAZE bumped into a tough rival when held by the favourite at Uttoxeter over the Christmas period, but can gain compensation here having shown plenty of promise in a hot Ascot bumper the time before that. James Bowen is an eye-catching jockey booking aboard Colin Tizzard's newcomer Jaytrack Parkhomes, while fellow newcomer Emmpara and Neil Mulholland's newcomer Looks Frozen are respected.

Verdict

Philip Hobbs has a very good record in bumpers so it might be worth siding with EMMPARA to make a successful debut. Looks Frozen and Scorpion Haze have both shown a fair level of ability and look sure to be on the premises, while Jaytrack Parkhomes is another newcomer to note.
