Verdict

FLIGHTS has been running consistently well between the flags in recent months and that includes her victory at Badbury Rings last month. Based on that evidence she could take plenty of beating in what is a moderate contest. Her stablemate One Big Love is an obvious threat on the back of her recent point-to-point success, while Kimora and Florella are also considered.

Verdict

ONE BIG LOVE has built up a good record in the pointing field since showing fair form over hurdles a couple of years ago and is likely the one to beat. Kimora has won this race twice before and won a point last time, while Flights and Florella are others who have enjoyed recent success in the pointing field.

Recent efforts under Rules poor and doubtful his latest point efforts have been major steps back in right direction.

Verdict

NEVER COMPLAIN was out of his depth in the Aintree Foxhunters' Chase last time out but his previous form suggests that the 10-year-old can win a race of this nature. Can Mestret only found one too good at Fakenham last time and can go well once again, while Hazy Tom also warrants consideration based on his recent form between the flags.

Verdict

CAN MESTRET failed to stay 3m at Fakenham last time but certainly ran well enough to suggest he's in good form and this former course scorer is taken to resume winning ways. Last year's winner Never Complain is likely to go well in this race again, while Forever My Friend will find this easier than Cheltenham last time and it was only last summer he was showing fairly useful form in handicaps.

Carlo Bank gelding. Dam point winner. Wears hood. Twice winning pointer, including last time (Apr 28).

Verdict

HERBERT PARK only won narrowly at Exeter last month but he idled when in front on that occasion and was value for much more than the official winning distance. A reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat despite this being a competitive contest. Bally River Boy, In A Blue Dust and Letskeepit Simple all bring solid recent point-to-point form to the table and can be expected to go well.

Verdict

HERBERT PARK underlined that he's not the most straightforward when almost idling his lead away late at Exeter in March, but that took his record to 2 from 2 for his current yard and he has plenty of useful form under Rules to fall back on, so he can defy a penalty at the expense of Sidbury Hill and Bally River Boy.

Hard to make a case for on this year's point/hunter form.

Verdict

MONSIEUR GIBRALTAR bolted up by 15 lengths over the extended 2m at Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago and he is very hard to oppose in a race of this nature. Dont Do Mondays has been impressive between the flags in recent starts and he may prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of Deadly Move and Dream Chope.

Verdict

MONSIEUR GIBRALTAR is 4 from his last 6 completed starts, including a facile victory in a Cheltenham hunter recently, and it's unlikely any of today's rivals will be good enough to lay down a serious challenge if he turns up in the same form. Dont Do Mondays and Danandy were both last-time-out winners between the flags, so they strike as the main dangers.

Verdict

This should be a penalty kick for Wonderful Charm on any piece of his old form but his efforts at both Cheltenham and Aintree leave an awful lot to be desired and a chance is taken on STROLLAWAYNOW. He was last seen winning at Fakenham with a strong staying performance and this extra half a mile is likely to bring about further improvement. Curraigflemens and Al Co look best of the remainder.

Verdict

It remains to be seen what mood WONDERFUL CHARM will be in, but he's 2-2 under Will Biddick and has an easier task than he's faced at Cheltenham and Aintree the last twice. Curraigflemens seeks his third straight win at this meeting and might be the danger for all he has plenty to find on the ratings with former Scottish National winner Al Co.

Verdict

CHANGEOFLUCK was last seen under Rules finishing third in this sphere at Stratford and has been in great form since between the flags. Back-to-back point successes of late see him arrive here full of confidence and it will take a big performance to stop Alan Hill's inmate. Full Batten and Big Bang De Loire are closely matched on official ratings and that pair join Hinxworth on the shortlist.

Verdict

Prolific point winner CHANGEOFLUCK was a respectable third on sole start in this sphere last year, and he's a tentative selection to come out on top. Boygojumping shaped better than the distance beaten suggests in this race in 2017 and he could figure along with Big Bang de Loire, who's perhaps worth another chance after going off too hard at Hexham recently.

Possible first run since early-January was needed when pulled up at Stratford (22.5f) last month but he still has his work cut out to trouble a few of these even at his best.

Verdict

Wells De Lune makes plenty of appeal in that he's 1-1 at the track having scored in a handicap hurdle here in February 2016 and because he won well in this sphere at Ffos Las in February. VELVET MAKER comes out best at the weights, though, lining up in receipt of 4lb from Mickey Bowen's charge despite being rated 12lb his superior. Starkie is another to keep an eye on.

Verdict

WELLS DE LUNE was in the process of running well prior to coming to grief in the Foxhunters' at Aintree last month and, with his sights lowered considerably here, he is fancied to resume winning ways down in trip. Despite failing to justify support latest, Velvet Maker is an obvious threat, whilst Numbercruncher and Starkie can do battle for third spot.
