Verdict

Ir is hard to oppose DELIRE D'ESTRUVAL, despite the fact that he has to give upwards of 12lb to all of his rivals. The son of Youmzain won a Listed hurdle at Haydock back in November and he bolted up in a similar event to this at Towcester two starts ago. Calix Delafayette won an Ayr bumper back in March last year but he will need to improve on his hurdles debut to give the selection a race today. The rest do not inspire a lot of confidence but Sunny Destination is the pick of them.

Verdict

DELIRE D'ESTRUVAL was well held on his handicap bow at the Cheltenham Festival, but he will find this much easier and should take all the beating despite having to carry plenty of weight. Calix Delafayette is entitled to progress from his hurdling debut and may pose the biggest threat.

Verdict

GERONIMO has filled second place in all of his starts to date but this lightly-raced seven-year-old is the one to beat this afternoon. Sandy Thomson's gelding was only narrowly denied at Carlisle last month and a 3lb rise in the ratings for that effort appears to be fair enough. Chicoria and Road To Gold have to be respected following recent good efforts, while Tomkevi is another to consider.

Verdict

GERONIMO has made a pleasing start to his hurdles career (runner-up all 3 starts) and is taken to open his account. Road To Gold and Chicoria are feared most, particularly the first-named who is potentially well treated if able to back up his latest effort.

Verdict

This is not the strongest of races but it makes it an ideal opportunity for SO SATISFIED to return to winning ways after his disappointing effort at Musselburgh last time out. The son of Aqlaam had won at Catterick two starts ago and it is far too soon to be writing him off. Dun Faw Good opened his account under Rules when last seen and another good run can be expected from the veteran, although a 7lb rise will make life tougher. Tikkandemickey and Log On have valid each-way claims.

Verdict

SO SATISFIED found his run of good form coming to a halt at Musselburgh in February but is very much the type to bounce back after a break. Old-timers Tikkandemickey and Dun Faw Good are others to consider.

Verdict

Streets Of Promise is clearly not the force of old, was rated 137 in February last year, but his last couple of efforts have been much more encouraging. That said, he may struggle to beat the in-form LOOKSNOWTLIKEBRIAN, who arrives here seeking a hat-trick. Tim Vaughan's gelding won easily two starts ago off a mark of 116 and he took a novice chase at Ayr when last seen. Others to note are Buffalo Ballet and Lowanbehold.

Verdict

LOOKSNOWTLIKEBRIAN made hard work of things when landing the odds at Ayr 7 weeks ago but still looks on a fair mark judged on his previous win at Ffos Las and is taken to land the hat-trick. Streets of Promise and Buffalo Ballet can place again.

Long time since he's shown any worthwhile form and competes from 13 lb out of the weights.

Verdict

JOHN WILLIAMS has struck up a decent partnership with pilot Rachael McDonald, winning a couple of races earlier in the season and beaten less than a length at Musselburgh last time. The return to the minimum trip can see him strike again in this. Charlie Snow Angel wasn't beaten too far over C&D last time and has claims, while Mumgos Debut keeps slipping down the ratings so could take advantage despite carrying top weight here.

Verdict

MUMGOS DEBUT wasn't given a hard time ridden differently to usual at Ayr last month, so he's probably in good nick and as a result, is selected to make the most of a slight drop in grade. Las Tunas is weighted to strike but rarely finds much for pressure, so John Williams is feared most.

Modest hurdler. Second twice from 8 starts in points. Has a bit to find back under Rules.

Verdict

With three wins from four starts between the flags, Diamond Brig is one to note, while Chanceiton has placed in all five starts between this flags this term, winning once. Whisperdale won well in a point last time and has claims, but preference is for FOR YES. A modest novice chaser in the summer of last year, he has performed well in points either side of those novice chase exploits and can open his hunter chase account here.

Verdict

WHISPERDALE showed his well-being with a 7-length win in a point recently and is taken to make a successful debut under Rules. Diamond Brig and Chanceiton both look key players also.

Point winner, but lightly raced under Rules and his profile is unconvincing.

Verdict

Tetraites Style is interesting on his handicap bow with a mark of 110 not seeming unduly harsh, but LASTIN' MEMORIES gets the vote. A close second at Wetherby two starts ago, he struggled over further here last time but should relish this lesser test of stamina. Up Helly Aa King and Boudry are others to note.

Verdict

Hard to find a solid betting proposition, but TETRAITES STYLE offered enough in his qualifying runs for Nicky Richards to think he could win a race like this, so he may be the answer sporting a tongue tie up in trip. Lastin' Memories was disappointing at this venue last time but is capable of bouncing back, with Boudry another to consider.
