Verdict

NAVARRA PRINCESS has been a model of consistency since winning on her last visit to this track, as shown by her third at Wolverhampton last time. She can get back to winning ways back on this track, though Athassel is likely to make this a decent scrap on the evidence of his Wolverhampton fourth. Shyarch has claims on the pick of this summer's form, while Queen Of Dreams is also in with a shout.

Verdict

FAIRWAY TO HEAVEN made quite an encouraging return from a break at Wolverhampton recently and is worth siding with having come down to a favourable mark. Athassel has performed with credit at Wolverhampton on his last 2 outings and ought to get involved again. Navarra Princess and Shyarch also merit respect.

Verdict

ROCA MAGICA overcame a sluggish start to run a fine second over a furlong shorter on his first taste of the all-weather here last month and this extra furlong is expected to suit. Fast Endeavour went close at Newmarket two starts ago and was not far away despite finishing last at Chelmsford last time, while Riverwing has been a bit hit and miss of late but has claims on the pick of her form.

Verdict

ROCA MAGICA improved when runner-up in a 6f nursery here last month and might be capable of going one better upped to 7f for the first time. Riverwing had excuses over C&D last time and will be a threat if reproducing the level she showed when second at Brighton prior to that. Rajam is another who wasn't seen to best effect last time and also makes the shortlist.

Verdict

Naughty Rascal opened his account at the first time of asking with an impressive success at Lingfield, but that means he has to give weight to KAMIKAZE LORD. Jeremy Noseda's colt ran a cracking race on only his second start to be beaten a neck at Ascot last time and there's every chance he could go one better here. Bob The Bruce has some decent form to his name already and has claims, while Classic Star looks the pick of the newcomers.

Verdict

KAMIKAZE LORD couldn't quite justify favouritism at Ascot last time but it's an effort which suggests he's sure to win soon and he can make the most of the 7 lb he receives from previous winner Naughty Rascal. Bob The Bruce will appreciate the return to 6f and looks best of the remainder.

Verdict

Cuban Heel has proved expensive to follow of late but must surely open his account sooner rather than later. Sunday Prospect has registered just one run in each of his two and three-year-old seasons but did go well at Doncaster when last seen, though this could be a good opportunity for KYNANCE. A good third on her debut at Doncaster, Kevin Ryan's filly went even closer at Newcastle last time and the extra furlong here is expected to suit.

Verdict

CUBAN HEEL probably isn't one for maximum faith but his recent handicap form sets a pretty high standard for a race like this and he can finally get off the mark. Kynance appeals as the sort to progress with racing and could be the one to give the selection most to do ahead of the returning Sunday Prospect.

Verdict

Global Melody improved on his debut at Haydock with a close-up fifth at Redcar last time, while Rippling Waters has been threatening to get her head in front in recent outings. Sploosh wasn't too far away over this track and trip last time, but preference is for CLIMB ABOARD. A good second in a novice event here in May, Hughie Morrison's gelding has struggled a little in handicap company of late but could fare better in this grade.

Verdict

RIPPLING WATERS can probably be forgiven a below-par run on the beach at Laytown on her recent stable debut and will go close if recapturing anything like the pick of her form for previous connections. Climb Aboard will be a threat if shrugging off a lesser effort here last time, while Global Melody has the potential for better still after just 2 starts.

Verdict

GLOBAL WONDER has been racking up the runner-up finishes on the all-weather at an alarming rate, but he is 1lb lower than when second over 10 furlongs at Chelmsford latest and the drop in trip could see him finishing more strongly. Declaration Of War was a convincing winner at Wolverhampton last time and has claims despite a 7lb hike, while Calling Rio hinted that an upturn in fortunes was on the cards when fourth at Chepstow last time.

Verdict

There's a good chance DECORATION OF WAR has more to offer for his new stable and he can make light of a 7 lb rise for his recent Wolverhampton success. Is It Off responded well to cheekpieces when runner-up at Chepstow last time and should go well again if the headgear continues to have a positive effect. Global Wonder will need to get the breaks from his draw but is another who arrives in form.
