Verdict

ANTHONY VAN DYCK is from a top Australian family and he put in an encouraging performance on his debut at the Curragh earlier in the month. If he can improve for that, which is likely given his connections, then he could be hard to beat this afternoon. Broome was a 150,000gns purchase as a yearling and he makes plenty of appeal despite his lack of race experience. Recent Revelations and Ploughland are other newcomers who merit consideration.

Verdict

ANTHONY VAN DYCK appeals as the type to have derived plenty from his respective debut at the Curragh 2 weeks ago, noted making late headway having ran green under 2f out. He is selected to come out on top. Yonkers and the selection's stablemate Broome are others to consider.

Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 9 in claimer (25/1) at Limerick (6.7f, good) 23 days ago, not ideally placed. Up in trip. Makes handicap debut. Others have achieved more.

Verdict

SIGNING OFF outran odds of 25/1 to win at Leopardstown on Thursday and he should be hard to beat once again today as long as those exertions have not left a mark. Queen Rabab has been running well for quite a while now and she should be thereabouts. The likes of Just Sherry, Miss Zizi and Mojambo all have each-way claims.

Verdict

QUEEN RABAB is holding her form really well at present, unlucky to bump into a most progressive sort who also got first run on her at Dundalk 3 days ago. She looks sure to make another bold bid and can gain compensation, Handicap debutant Super Network and Signing Off are also worth a second look.

Verdict

KATIYMANN was far from disgraced when finishing fourth in a very competitive handicap at the Curragh in late May and he has a big chance of winning this based on that evidence. Tony The Gent has filled second place twice in his last three starts and he may repeat that this afternoon, while Atlas and Georgian Bay can both pick up some place money.

Verdict

TONY THE GENT turned in his best effort of the campaign when just failing to get up at the Curragh 2 weeks ago and he is fancied to go one place better now. Katiymann and Atlas are also expected to feature.

Useful filly. Winner at Dundalk in January. 20/1, creditable sixth of 23 in handicap at Royal Ascot (8f, good to firm) 23 days ago, running on.

Verdict

Clear Skies picked up some minor money in Listed company over the extended 1m1f at Gowran in May and could feasibly bounce back from her Group 3 disappointment at the Curragh last time now eased in grade. Narrow preference, however, is for SHIP OF DREAMS, who makes plenty of appeal on her length second in a Group 3 over this trip at Leopardstown in May and benefits from a weight-for-age allowance this afternoon. The consistent Belle Boyd is no forlorn hope for a place.

Verdict

PETTICOAT was well backed and was pretty impressive when landing a 7f handicap at the Curragh last month, producing a career-best effort in the process. She is fancied to make a bold bid to follow up, with Ship of Dreams and Clear Skies 2 of the obvious threats, along with Most Gifted.

Verdict

ACTIVE APPROACH has knocked on the door on all three outings this term and Godolphin's New Approach filly is backed to land a deserved victory now stepping up in trip back into maiden company. Aidan O'Brien's 320,000 euros Camelot filly Queen Iseult has finished second the last twice, including over this trip at Gowran, and has to be respected. Echo Park appears on the up and is another for the shortlist following her recent silver medal.

Verdict

ACTIVE APPROACH is still improving despite the fact her maiden status remains intact, and the way she shaped in a handicap last time suggests this trip will suit. She could be the answer, but Echo Park is open to progress and Cascabel is a well-bred newcomer.

Verdict

Jim Bolger's Vocalised colt SINGING'N'DANCING makes his debut here, and the half-brother to the handler's winners Sophisticated Heir and Clinical Approach could be capable of landing a telling blow first time up. Highdive is another newcomer of note representing Dermot Weld, while Maze Runner is respected on the best of his form, although he may find this tough on fast ground on his seasonal reappearance.

Verdict

MAZE RUNNER disappointed on his final start during the autumn but he had previously shaped with promise and he is fancied to go close on return for his powerful stable. Newcomer's Highdive and Singing'n'dancing rate next best without the benefit of market clues.

Lightly-raced winner. 1 win from 3 runs this year. Career best when winning 11-runner handicap (9/2) at Gowran (9.4f, good) 21 days ago by length from Dawn Hoofer. Has to be taken seriously.

Verdict

Jim Bolger's DAWN HOOFER narrowly failed to follow up her Apprentice Derby victory at Leopardstown last week and the Dawn Approach filly is likely to be on the premises once again off the same mark dropping back in trip. Birth Of Venus accounted for the selection at Gowran last month and is entitled to go close once again, while the impressive seven-length Ballinrobe winner Bibliotheca and Tony Martin's improving Dancing Doll are others for the shortlist.

Verdict

BIRTH OF VENUS and Dawn Hoofer are closely matched on their 1-2 at Gowran last month, yet the former arrives on even better terms on this occasion and is fancied to make a bold bid upped in trip. Dancing Doll back up in trip may also play a part.
