Modest form when third in small-field Worcester bumper in October and ran to a similar level when sixth on Ludlow hurdle bow since. Needs to leave that form behind.

Verdict

ARTHINGTON's recent second to Twobeelucky at Cheltenham in October is by far and away the strongest form on offer and it would take a big performance by one of his rivals to overturn him. Brianstorm ran well when third at Cheltenham in a bumper behind Herecomestheboom and is one to consider on hurdling debut, while Doctor Haze will have learnt plenty from his hurdling debut at Chepstow and can take a step forward here.

Verdict

ARTHINGTON has the best form and might be to up to defying a double penalty, although Doctor Haze and Forgot To Ask are both open to progress on the back of encouraging hurdle debuts and are likely to give Seamus Mullins' charge plenty to think about. Brianstorm is also respected switching to hurdles after good run in a Cheltenham bumper.

Followed up his Huntingdon second with another solid effort when runner-up at Fakenham (20f) last month. Major contender again.

Verdict

CLIFFSIDE PARK ran respectably when runner-up to a useful type in Octagon at Southwell last month and this looks an easier assignment with Jonjo O'Neill's 3lb claim aiding his cause. Serenity Now has been in solid form lately with two second places and he looks capable of putting it up to the selection on those efforts, while Minstrel Royal looks best of the remainder.

Verdict

SERENITY NOW only found a bang in-form rival too good at the weights at Fakenham last month, and he’s more than good enough to go one better at this sort of level. Cliffside Park should give it another good shot, while Hazariban is worth monitoring in the betting travelling over from Ireland, especially now pitched into a seller.

Won Newton Abbot handicap chase in June and back to form when second over C&D last month. This is tougher.

Verdict

MINELLA FOR ME is yet to show the promise he threatened when winning his point-to-point in November 2015 but he now makes his handicap debut after looking in need of the run behind River Wylde at Uttoxeter. Diamond Rock won with something in hand at Bangor back in October and looks a player off a 6lb higher mark, while Thankyou Very Much ran well last week at Musselburgh and now has a hood in addition to blinkers and a tongue-tie.

Verdict

MINELLA FOR ME is open to significant improvement over fences after a promising return at Uttoxeter and looks to have a lot going for him on his handicap debut now. Diamond Rock and Alpine Secret are closely matched on their latest running at Bangor and should be involved again.

Never really threatened on handicap debut when third at Fakenham (23.4f) last month. Has work to do but should at least be sharper for the run.

Verdict

LAGAVARA has some smart form in the book behind the likes of Poppy Kay and Casper King in the past, and impressed with her staying-on third on reappearance at Newton Abbot in October. That was her best effort to date in handicap company and another bold bid looks to be on the cards here. Miss Fleming wasn't beaten far Uttoxeter in the summer when last seen and represents a yard that goes very well here, while Daytime Ahead could prove best of the remainder.

Verdict

DAYTIME AHEAD stepped up on her stable debut when running out a convincing winner at Wincanton last month, and she still looks one ahead of her mark. There could be more to come from Miss Fleming after a break, while Lagavara should give another good account despite her mark not allowing for much leeway.

Verdict

This can go the way of MORE THAN LUCK, who did it well on stable bow for Olly Murphy at Taunton a week ago and remains ahead of the assessor. The six-year-old is due to go up 9lb in the near future and is expected to take advantage of another fair opening. Dontminddboys is 0-16 under Rules but has been running well in defeat of late, while Midnight Gem has shown enough to suggest she can land a race of this nature.

Verdict

MORE THAN LUCK didn't look straightforward but ultimately scored with a good degree of ease on debut at Taunton last month, and he should prove tough to beat wisely turned out under a penalty. Dontminddboys is proving very consistent and feared most, ahead of Midnight Gem.

Creditable second in Warwick when last seen in May 2016 but just 1-42 overall and percentage call has to be look elsewhere after 584 days on the sidelines.

Verdict

There was much to like about the way in which COUGAR KID landed the odds at Hereford eight days ago and the six-year-old could follow up here despite shouldering a 7lb penalty. Lost In Newyork arrives back after a 584-day absence but had some reasonable form in this grade and merits a market check, while Don't Act Up makes his handicap debut but his mark of 102 looks stiff enough and he might find life difficult.

Verdict

A trappy finale. KALASKADESEMILLEY hinted at a revival on last month's stable debut and might be worth chancing off his reduced mark. Don't Act Up and Does It In Style look interesting now handicapping, particularly if the market speaks for them. Last week's Hereford winner Cougar Kid also merits respect, while Georgieshore is fairly handicapped and returns with his yard in form.
