Much more like it on handicap debut sporting a visor when third of 11 at Doncaster 8 days ago. Interesting if she can build on that.

Verdict

PEACHEY CARNEHAN struck over 5f at Doncaster before going down by a nose over this longer trip under a penalty at Haydock last time. A big run likely beckons now he is able to compete off 4lb lower. Lightoller landed minor money off this mark at Bath last time and has place claims now stepped up in trip, while Naralsaif also merits consideration after taking a forward step when landing minor money on her handicap debut at Doncaster.

Verdict

This is a clear-cut opportunity for PEACHEY CARNEHAN to gain compensation for an unlucky defeat at Haydock on Thursday, especially when you consider that he can race from 4 lb lower. Naralsaif showed a lot more in a first-time visor on handicap bow at Doncaster last week and is offered for the forecast.

Fair form in maidens for Joseph Patrick O'Brien and remains open to improvement now handicapping on debut for new yard.

Verdict

A wide-open heat in which a chance is taken on NOTICE, who landed minor money over the extended 1m5f at Newbury last time and is expected to remain competitive off an unchanged rating. Vuela struck over this trip at Doncaster two starts back, before failing to justify favouritism over 1m6f at Sandown, and is the one who could put up most resistance. The pick of the remainder may be Perfect In Pink, who broke her maiden over this track and trip in May.

Verdict

SATISFY's opening mark looks a fair one given her form in maidens for Joseph O'Brien and she can make a winning start in handicaps for her new yard. Vuela is the obvious threat.

Verdict

MAJOR CORNWALLIS capitalised on the drop into this grade when scoring over track and trip last time and looks the safest option, in his current mood, with conditions known to suit. African Blessing landed a Doncaster handicap over this trip in the spring and is capable of getting competitive on these terms, likewise distance winner Red Trooper, who is lightly raced but has a 193-day absence to overcome.

Verdict

It's perhaps disconcerting to see RED TROOPER dropped to selling company after 6 months off on this his turf debut, but he is very much the one to beat on these terms. If the selection fails to fire, African Blessing and Major Cornwallis look best placed to take advantage.

Verdict

DARK POWER bolted up over this trip at Nottingham last time and although the handicapper has reacted with a 9lb rise, there should be further improvement to come for a handler who excels with his sprinters. Pennsylvania Dutch reverts to sprinting after an experimental run over 7f at York backfired last time out. He can scrap it out for the silver medal with Scofflaw, who attracted support at Thirsk last weekend and can now race off a 2lb lower perch.

Verdict

DARK POWER was clearly fitter for his reappearance and may have benefited from the application of a first-time tongue tie when running out a most decisive at Nottingham last month. He's just the type his excellent yard excels with and earns the vote to follow-up. Fellow improver and hat-trick seeker Gaval is next best, ahead of Pennsylvania Dutch.

Showed something to work on when seventh at Yarmouth on debut, but needs a big leap forward if he's to get into contention.

Verdict

A return to seven furlongs looks set to suit Richard Hannon's ALGAM, who found things happening too quick in a hot contest over shorter at Goodwood last time. He was second at the distance on debut at Epsom and that looks to be the trip his future lies over. Cuban Heel's Ascot second is respected and he could be next best, while Sir Michael Stoute's Coolmore candidate Comrade In Arms is worth keeping an eye on for any significant market support.

Verdict

ALGAM has already shown he's good enough to win a race of this nature and he's taken to get off the mark at the third attempt having had little go right at Goodwood last time. Sir Michael Stoute's impeccably-bred newcomer Comrade In Arms is an obvious threat, but he's likely to need the experience, and Cuban Heel would have to show improvement to trouble the selection.

Returned from a break and showed improved form to land 5-runner handicap at Windsor recently, despite racing keenly. This looks tougher, but he may build on that.

Well fancied and ran creditably when good third of 7 in handicap (9/4) at Sandown (7f, good to soft) recently. Looks on a fair mark and another big run can be expected with De Sousa booked.

His sole win came at Bath in May. Failed to build on his third at Newbury when finishing behind Fastar in handicap last start. Has work to do with that one, but chance if returning to best form.

Relished the soft ground when winning at Newmarket back in May. Respectable third of 12 in handicap at Beverley last month. Returns to favourable conditions here and can't be ruled out.

Has looked rather inconsistent of late. Finished last of 5 to Fastar in handicap at Windsor last time, and seems to have plenty of work on here too.

Has looked rather inconsistent of late. Finished last of 5 to Fastar in handicap at Windsor last time, and seems to have plenty of work on here too.

Verdict

Jamie Osborne's VIBES took advantage of the ease in the ground to score in fine style at Lingfield last weekend and looks set for another bold bid stepping back up to a mile here while the underfoot conditions remain on the easy side. Yarmouth scorer Alemaratalyoum is another who enjoys a bit of dig in the ground and he could be the main danger, while Fastar is respected following his Windsor victory late last month.

Verdict

ALEMARATALYOUM has been running consistently well of late, and another good effort looks sure to be on the cards. He handles conditions and should be suited by a step back up in trip. Vibes was an impressive winner at Lingfield recently and has to be respected, despite the huge rise in the weights, while Keepup Kevin will be suited by the return to softer ground.

Failed to build on 2 respectable runs when eighth of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford City in June. That run was disappointing and he has plenty of work to do now.

Seems to have gone off the boil, and fared no better when finishing well beaten in handicap at Chelmsford recently. Chance if reproducing some old form but that looks a long way off at present.

Had plenty of chances it seems but again ran creditably when last seen, third of 6 in maiden at Windsor. Has slipped to a fair looking mark these days and been gelded, so worth another go.

Verdict

An open looking contest where it may be best taking a chance on KINGS ACADEMY, who could benefit from a recent gelding procedure to produce a career best and take advantage of a nice mark. Course and distance winner Racing Angel should be able to provide some resistance and she looked back to something near her best at Yarmouth last time, while Angel Palanas looks to be slowly heading in the right direction.

Verdict

KINGS ACADEMY has been gelded and could cash in a fair-looking mark under Silvestre De Sousa. Classic Pursuit rates the main danger, while Angel Palanas is less exposed than a lot of these and showed he can be competitive off this mark last time.
