Verdict

Ralph Beckett's Dansili filly CHALEUR will have benefited for her opening outing at Kempton when plenty green in the early stages before running on for second, and she appears one of the more likely winners here. Lady Katy hasn't been beaten far in two runs and is considered, while Lady Mona is a sister to Sir Prancealot and is respected alongside fellow debutant, Richard Fahey's Mayson filly Parion.

Verdict

CHALEUR was really starting to get the hang of things when a keeping-on second starting out at Kempton 3 weeks ago, and with improvement forthcoming, she should take some stopping. Lady Mona, Parion and Tagda are a trio of interesting newcomers, preferred in that order.

Verdict

Course-and-distance winner RITA'S MAN was second at Musselburgh last time and having already scored at Beverley this term, arrives here in fine form. Keir Hardie is respected in the first-time hood, while Admiral Spice is another trying new headgear in the shape of a visor. However, the main danger may come from Karl Burke's Star Of Zaam, who was a winner last season and has been crying out for a step up in trip.

Verdict

RITA'S MAN looks the most solid option in a race where most of his rivals have a bit to prove. Keith Dalgleish's charge ran well in handicap company at Musselburgh last weekend and can successfully concede weight all round.

Good fifth of 15 in handicap (16/1) at York (7f, good to firm) on reappearance 31 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. Claims if building upon that.

Verdict

FIRMDECISIONS has been handed a 6lb rise for his course-and-distance triumph but Nigel Tinkler's gelding has scored from higher in the past, giving optimism of another bold showing here. Areen Heart has knocked on the door twice in three outings this term and is considered, while it would be foolish to dismiss the lightly-raced Kaser on his handicap debut, with the Invincible Spirit gelding having cost 500,000 euros as a yearling before showing promise in three novice contests.

Verdict

The form of SERGIO LEONE's reappearance fourth has been well advertised by the first and second since and he can show he's on a good mark. Etisalat wasn't disgraced on his recent return and could have more to offer now handicapping over a longer trip, whole Firmdecisions is a lot more exposed but does arrive on the back of a recent C&D win.

Good second of 9 in handicap (14/1) at Chester (6.1f, good) 21 days ago, running on late.

Verdict

BEYOND EQUAL has gone up 9lb for another comfortable victory at Haydock and he looks capable of landing the hat-trick having scored like a horse still with plenty up his sleeve on Merseyside. John Quinn's Al Shaqab sprinter Shaheen has to be respected under a 6lb penalty following his Pontefract victory and will bounce off the fast ground, with Wafeer and Roger Varian's frequent crossbar-hitter Lashabeeh others to note.

Verdict

BEYOND EQUAL is a sprinter going places, and the strong feeling is that his new mark still underestimates him, so he's a strong fancy in his hat-trick bid. Lashabeeh is in the right hands to progress in handicaps and is feared most.

Verdict

AGUEROOO got on the scoresheet at Chelmsford, before spoiling all chance at the start at Nottingham on Thursday. Providing he has recovered from those exertions and can get away on terms, he can prevail here to make it a brace for the season from a dangerous-looking turf mark. King Crimson has been in fine form of late and seems certain to be on the premises, while Flying Foxy and Prominna are two alternatives who could be well treated on their very best.

Verdict

The thriving KING CRIMSON could take a bit of pegging back under Nicola Currie. A Sure Welcome arrives in good form and may give the selection most to do ahead of Oriental Splendour.

Verdict

Panko made a welcome return to the winner's enclosure at Goodwood last weekend and has to be respected under a 6lb penalty. However, preference is for ESSPEEGEE, who transferred his prolific all-weather form to Brighton, taking his recent run to six from seven. Gravity Wave was a beaten favourite when second at Lingfield but has to be considered having scored at Wolverhampton the time before. Paddy A has been in fine fettle on synthetic surfaces and could easily replicate that on turf for in-form handler Ian Williams.

Verdict

It's easy to be drawn to ready last-time-out winners PANKO and Esspeegee. The latter is absolutely thriving, but the former is slightly more appealing under a penalty. Paddy A will likely give his running and is the pick of the rest.

Verdict

DANEHILL DESERT was a beaten favourite when fifth at Redcar but is only 2lb higher than his promising run at Hamilton when second the time before that, and the Richard Fahey-trained gelding is backed to bounce back here. The Golden Cue has made the podium twice in his last three runs and holds solid claims, while Madame Ritz and Wiff Waff are others capable of making their presence felt.

Verdict

Not a particularly convincing bunch, but THE GOLDEN CUE was quickly back on his game when third at Nottingham last month and he could be the answer down in class. Misty Spirit ought to have more to offer for Robert Cowell, with Danehill Desert completing the shortlist.
