Once-raced maiden. Fifth of 11 in novice event (10/1) at Kempton (6f) on debut last May. Off a while since but open to progress.

Verdict

STEALTH left his debut performance well behind when runner-up over the extended 1m at Wolverhampton and, entitled to improve again for the application of first-time cheekpieces, he could make it third time lucky. Jazirat ran well in both appearances last year and warrants respect returning with Jamie Spencer booked to ride, while Flirtare is entitled to go close if building on his introductory fifth. Vale Of Kent looks vulnerable under a penalty after flopping at Newcastle.

Verdict

VALE OF KENT's impressive debut win is still fresh in the memory and he's probably worth a chance to show his subsequent Newcastle defeat to be all wrong. Jazirat and Stealth are progressive sorts from top yards and should ensure Mark Johnston's charge doesn't get things all his own way.

Verdict

Oregon Gift merits consideration following his 1m4f course success, while Sheila's Fancy (third), Running Wolf (fourth) and Tommys Geal (fifth) are all closely matched on their recent C&D clash. The one who makes most appeal, however, is Neil Mullholland's MASTER BURBIDGE. The four-time NH scorer remains relatively unexposed on the level and he potentially looks a lot better than this mark of 56. The booking of Jamie Spencer is also a positive.

Verdict

MASTER BURBIDGE has progressed into a fairly useful jumper since last seen on the Flat so looks on an attractive mark returned to the level with Jamie Spencer doing the steering. Oregon Gift made a winning start for Charlie Mann here last month and has only gone up 2 lb, while Tommys Geal is back on a good mark if things drop right.

Lightly-raced maiden. Below form third of 8 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good, 2/1). Off 6 months. First run for yard after leaving Aidan O'Brien. Makes handicap debut.

Verdict

MISS MINUTY has been in cracking form, winning three of her last four starts, and she might be able to defy a further 3lb rise for her latest success. Dutch Uncle is just 1lb higher than when three-quarters of a length second at Lingfield (Van Huysen fourth and Eltezam fifth) and he looks sure to be in the thick of things again, while Barca is worth a market check at least ahead of his first start for Seamus Durack.

Verdict

MISS MINUTY is in the form of her life at present, successful on 3 of her last 4 starts now, and there’s no reason why she shouldn’t continue to run well. Dutch Uncle is at a good yard and capable from this mark, while Eltezam is better judged on his previous form and makes up the shortlist.

Once-raced maiden. 33/1, sixth of 12 in maiden at this course (7f) on debut 20 days ago. Likely to improve.

Verdict

This should prove another penalty kick for DRAGON MALL, a classy operator who won as he pleased at Chelmsford last time. The drop back to a mile won't inconvenience him and he could prove in a different league to this level of opposition. Burrumbeet had his fair share of supporters when finishing sixth here and is entitled to improve plenty on that run, while Shanghai Silver filled the same position on his respective introduction at this track and he is another open to further progress.

Verdict

DRAGON MALL is very useful and is likely to have little difficulty following up his recent Chelmsford success in similar company. Swiss Vinnare returns to the scene of his maiden win in December and could be the one to follow the selection home.

Verdict

KING KEVIN saw his winning run come to an end at Chelmsford last week but he still ran another fine race for second and looks ready for the return to this longer trip now. The booking of Jamie Spencer certainly takes the eye and he can prove too strong for recent Wolverhampton claimer winner Dream Magic, who returns to handicap company, and Regicide.

Verdict

KING KEVIN has been a real success story of the current all-weather campaign, landing 4 of his last 6 starts and running a cracker to finish second latest having been left poorly placed. He's versatile as regards trip and gets the nod given he remains on a fair mark. Canyon City, reverting to the level, and Bamako du Chatelet are others to consider.

Verdict

Fran Berry came closest to assisting HOLD HANDS over the line in front when beaten only half a length last time and Brendan Powell's mare can get off the mark here from just 1lb higher in the ratings. The consistent Pour L'Amour gives the shrewd David Loughnane a chance of landing the spoils here, while Diamond Reflection could reward supporters who sent him off favourite last time, having been a impressive winner the time before over 1m2f.

Verdict

POUR L'AMOUR has slipped to a workable mark and could be ready to strike returning to this trip. Hold Hands isn’t one to go overboard about given her long-standing maiden status, but she has the ability to win a handicap of this nature, while Diamond Reflection is likely to continue in form.

Verdict

ESSPEEGEE has been successful at this distance on his last four outings and Alan Bailey's five-year-old's winning run doesn't look like coming to an end any time soon. All-weather specialist Smiley Bagel ran up a sequence last spring and could surprise, while Keith Dalgleish's northern raider Falcon's Fire could be capable of making his presence felt. Harbour Force and Amadeus Rox give the jumps handlers a chance of landing this prize.

Verdict

Things firmly clicked into place for ESSPEEGEE towards the back-end of 2017, and he completed the 4-timer in good style at Newcastle 5 weeks ago. A 4 lb higher mark ought not prove too prohibitive on that evidence and he can continue the good work. Amadeus Rox and Ginger Lady head up the dangers in the finale.
