Verdict

This could prove to be a very informative contest with plenty of well-bred individuals and lofty price tags on offer from leading stables. Daafr cost 350,000 euros at the Goffs Yearling sale last September with his dam being a half-sister to Order Of St George and it seems notable that Jim Crowley rides him for Sheikh Hamdan's daughter over Multamis. Wise Counsel is a half-brother to Spanish star Noozhoh Canarias and represents a yard going well with their juveniles at present so any market support should be noted, but preference is for NEVERLAND ROCK. A 480,000-euro purchase last August for Phoenix Thoroughbred Limited, his unraced dam is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Havana Gold. Being a son of No Nay Never, he is bred to make an instant impact so it would be a surprise were he not going close on debut. Mr Spirit and Glorious Lover are others worthy of consideration.

Verdict

A race that often throws up a good one and NEVERLAND ROCK, a €480,000 yearling, is chanced first time up for Richard Hannon without the benefit of market clues. Almurr shaped well on debut at Leicester and could be open to plenty of improvement. Confiding is one of the other newcomers to note.

Verdict

KLASSIQUE has a top pedigree to back her up being a daughter of Galileo out of Group 1-winning mare Chachamaidee and she has clearly needed plenty of time. She looks more than capable of making a winning debut in what looks a winnable race. Solar Gold has showed good form in two starts to date and is closely related to Neverland Rock, who runs in the opener on this card, while Feline Groovy and Mojika look best of the remainder.

Verdict

SOLAR ECHO shaped with promise amidst greenness on her debut at Windsor, and she's sure to know more this time, possibly a lot more, with that under her belt. Feline Groovy is in excellent hands, so she's well worth another chance given her highly encouraging debut, while Daisy Chain and Klassique are newcomers to note in the betting.

Twice-raced maiden. Fifth of 8 in minor event at Haydock (8f, good to firm, 12/1) 20 days ago.

Verdict

SCOTTISH JIG shaped well enough when seventh on debut at Kempton in December and she is expected to take a big step forward from that outing on her first try on turf. Watheeqa may have needed her first run of the season at Haydock when fifth behind Labrega, while Snow Wind and Imperial Choice are two interesting newcomers who warrant a market check.

Verdict

SCOTTISH JIG shaped well from a hopeless position at Kempton on debut in December and is open to significant improvement on her return. One of the 3 newcomers may emerge as the biggest threat, with Snow Wind making most appeal before market clues.

Won on debut in April over this trip and ran well in second at Chelmsford last time, headed late on. Could have more to offer.

Verdict

SEA OF CLASS created a big impression when taking a significant step forward from her debut at Newmarket to score under James Doyle in this grade over C&D by two lengths. She was considered for the Oaks before connections ruled her out due to rain-softened ground. Mrs Sippy got off the mark at the second time of asking at Doncaster and should build on that up in trip this season, while the stable companion to the selection, Dramatic Queen, is also respected on her first attempt on fast ground.

Verdict

Hard to see past SEA OF CLASS, who looked a high-class prospect when winning a similar event over C&D in good style last month. Mrs Sippy could be the chief danger on her return.

Verdict

Madeleine Bond is a course winner and her comeback run when second at 16-1 in a similar event at Leicester brings her into contention, but the much quicker conditions may not be to her liking and preference is for DOURADO. Having signed off with a Kempton victory last November, he was only held by a neck in a 7f Goodwood handicap on his return recently and shaped as though this extra furlong would be right up his street. Keeper's Choice also finished a close second on her seasonal debut last month and is entitled to come on for that pipe-opener.

Verdict

FAMILY FORTUNES has fallen to a handy mark, and did well to get as close as he did even allowing for the sound gallop when runner-up at Wetherby 8 days ago. He could be worth chancing to regain the winning thread, with Wind In My Sails, who goes well here, Dourado and Madeleine Bond just a trio of others worthy of respect in a wide-open affair.
