Verdict

Take Shelter has run to a consistent enough level of form but the chances are starting to mount up and the far less exposed BUNGEE JUMP gets the nod. Kevin Ryan's filly compromised her prospects with a tardy start when a fast-finishing fourth at Newcastle on her debut last month but she should be wiser for that experience and will take the beating if getting away on terms. Me Before You, a bronze medallist on both starts thus far, completes the shortlist.

Verdict

The form of BUNGEE JUMP's debut fourth at Newcastle has been boosted a couple of times since and she might be worth siding with to improve past the more established Take Shelter. Me Before You and Dorcas are also unlikely to be too far away.

Promise when third of 11 on 7f Thirsk debut (good to soft) 17 days ago, giving best to a couple of more experienced rivals only late in the day. Likely to improve and very much the one to beat.

Verdict

Not a lot of convincing form to go on here and VOICEMAIL looks the clear answer. The Newmarket raider made a most pleasing racecourse bow when a close third behind two experienced rivals at Thirsk last month and, with that experience under her belt, she could take some stopping. Rayna's World belied long odds to run a respectable debut race at Doncaster last month and can fight it out with Ryedale Encore for the forecast.

Verdict

There was plenty to like about VOICEMAIL's debut third at Thirsk last month and this looks a good opportunity for James Tate's filly to get off the mark at the second time of asking. Rayna's World showed promise when making late headway on her Doncaster debut and looks the obvious threat.

Verdict

Roger Varian has hit the target with five of his six runners around here so far this year and WEST DRIVE is fancied to bolster those already impressive numbers this afternoon. The Sea The Stars gelding proved his stamina for this when winning around Sandown last month and a 3lb rise may not be enough to halt this progressive type. On Fire appears to be gradually improving and is another with no stamina worries to contend with; he looks the chief danger ahead of Chancery.

Verdict

WEST DRIVE is unexposed at this trip and might be up to defying a small rise for Sandown. James Bethell's On Fire has had a productive year and may prove next best ahead of Chancery.

Won 3 handicaps at up to 9f this summer. Did too much too soon at York last time and likely still in form.

Verdict

Nothing really leaps out in a tricky contest with top-weight EAGLE CREEK the suggestion. Simon Crisford's charge impressed when landing a Lingfield maiden in stylish fashion but the wheels rather come off at Newmarket when he was last seen out in the spring. He had excuses for that reverse however having lost a shoe mid-race and may have more to offer now down in class after a gelding operation. Helovaplan looked progressive before seeming to struggle in the soft ground at Doncaster last time out but there are showers forecast and his connections will be hoping that the rain stays away. Fujaira Bridge rates best of the rest.

Verdict

EAGLE CREEK can't have been right when down the field in a Newmarket handicap in May and is well worth another chance to confirm the promise of his easy Lingfield maiden success in the spring. Cullingworth has struggled in some good handicaps of late but should find life a bit easier in this company and could be the one for the forecast.

Verdict

Bonnie Arlene appeared to be floundering mid-race before staying on in determined fashion to reward favourite backers at Sandown last time but she seemed to have a hard race that day and will need to find a little more now upped 4lb. Fire Leopard is open to further improvement and enters calculations but TEWAFEEDJ gets the nod. The selection has been improving steadily and appeared to appreciate the step up to today's distance when hitting the target at Thirsk earlier this month; there could be more to come.

Verdict

FIRE LEOPARD's recent Thirsk third appeals as strong form for the level and she's taken to come good at the second time of asking in handicaps. Theglasgowwarrior could be the one for the forecast spot in what looks a tight race despite the small field.

Verdict

Beadlam arrives fresh from a success at Wolverhampton but she has a 6lb penalty to contend with and her record suggests that she may prefer Tapeta to turf. Leonard Thomas showed a bit more spark at Catterick last time and may reward each-way support but GREEN HOWARD gets the vote. The selection is on a long losing run but he was not disgraced and arguably unlucky when placed at Hamilton latest and is on a feasible mark at present.

Verdict

The fact BEADLAM has a couple of wins to her name of late counts for plenty in a race like this and she might be up to defying a penalty for Friday's AW success. Billy Bond can shrug off a rare below-par effort last time and may provide the main threat ahead of Green Howard, who is on a career-low mark but does need things to drop right.
