Merits well established and no doubt flattered by her proximity when fourth of 6 in a mares' maiden at Uttoxeter (20f) last month. Uncertain to reproduce that here.

Verdict

Passmore sets the standard on form but has proven herself to not be the most reliable of individuals having flattered to deceive on more than one occasion. Tara's Rainbow has improved her form recently over timber and this looks the ideal trip for her but the vote goes to hurdling newcomer LADY LUNCHALOT as she remains capable of further improvement on just her third start for Polly Gundry.

Verdict

Difficult to get away from PASSMORE who comfortably sets the standard on the pick of her form, and can have her latest effort overlooked having not been seen to best effect. Fair Flat performer Lady Lunchalot wouldn't have to be any great shakes in this sphere to take the forecast spot.

Fair maiden on Flat (stays 1½m) for Ismail Mohammed. Not knocked about in a couple of runs over hurdles and handicaps will be his bag.

Verdict

This looks a match on paper between Mister Showman and CHAMPAGNE CITY as they have both already won over timber and are open to further improvement. The vote goes to the latter as he has proved to be a much better horse on the Flat and the tight track should benefit. The former warrants respect with a first-time tongue tie applied while, of the rest, Thahab Ifraj looks the pick.

Verdict

CHAMPAGNE CITY will go on improving in this sphere and this useful Flat winner can follow up his Kelso success. This could develop into a match, with the other penalised runner Mister Showman boasting obvious claims fitted with a tongue tie.

Hard to predict over both sets of obstacles but latest second over hurdles here was at least a step back in the right direction.

Verdict

HEPIJEU improved from his return effort at Uttoxeter when landing the spoils at Huntingdon last month and he looks more than capable of coping with the 6lb rise given to him for that success. Alberobello should appreciate a return to Stratford having been dropped 1lb for his last run, while Honkytonktennessee has had a successful 2017 so far and could yet have more to offer.

Verdict

ALBEROBELLO defied a lengthy absence when scoring over this C&D in March before running well in a better race than this at Ffos Las, so is taken to resume winning ways. Queen Spud shaped as if back in form over a trip too far at Fakenham 6 weeks ago and is feared most under Richard Johnson.

Fairly useful winner on Flat. Just modest form in juvenile hurdles but much more promising signs in handicaps of late (tongue tied) so he has to be feared.

Verdict

Our Three Sons has to be respected on the back of his triumph at Kempton last time and the course and distance winner returns to the track in search of his third straight win. However, another 6lb rise makes life tougher and a chance is taken on Dan Skelton's SPADER who is lurking dangerously at the foot of the handicap and has gone well here in the past. Juste Pour Nous is also respected for the Pond House team.

Verdict

Backing SAILORS WARN comes with risks attached given he spurned a couple of soft openings in selling company for his previous yard during the spring, but he should be fit following a recent spin on the AW and is well handicapped for a yard adept with similar types. Spader is feared at the foot of the weights, while hat-trick seeker Our Three Sons deserves a mention.

Shown precious little under various codes to date and he's a long way out of the weights here.

Verdict

WHOS DE BABY was an impressive all-the-way winner at Bangor and an 11lb hike might not be enough to anchor him if arriving in the same determined mood. Jonagold has struck the crossbar on his last couple of starts and is likely to be in the shake-up again, while Speed Demon, West Class and first-time visored Monte Wildhorn also have bits and pieces of chances.

Verdict

This could be the day when JONAGOLD finally gets his head in front. Indeed, the 6-y-o has gone down all guns blazing on his last 2 starts and looks the most solid option in a race littered with ifs and buts. Speed Demon will be a big threat if he puts his best foot forward and Monte Wildhorn, who continues to edge down the weights and is now tried in a visor, also needs a second look.

Belatedly opened his account over 2m at Newton Abbot last summer. Presumably needed run on return from 10 months off 3 weeks ago and likely to be sharper with that behind him.

Seen to maximum effect when landing an amateur riders' race at Ludlow (2m) in April. Not disgraced when sixth at Southwell last time but the fact he's won just once since 2013 sums him up.

Capitalised on a falling mark and ended a long losing run at Taunton (2m) in April. By no means disgraced off this 7 lb higher mark at Warwick since and he's one of the more likely types here.

Modest Flat winner who produced an improved effort over hurdles when runner-up at Newton Abbot (18.5f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Won't be far away if turning up in similar form.

Verdict

Not a strong finale by any means and it might pay to side with TOP OF THE ROCKS, who is the least exposed of these over hurdles, posted a solid placed effort at Newton Abbot last time and receives weight all round. From the opposite end of the weights, Swaledale Lad warrants respect facing his easiest assignment since winning a Market Rasen seller last December, while Frozen Over and Cillian's Well are others to note.

Verdict

CILLIAN'S WELL took a step back in the right direction for new trainer John Flint when second to a resurgent rival at Towcester last time and has the potential to build on that based on the pick of his Irish form. Frozen Over arrives in good form and ought to go well again, while Top of The Rocks won't be far away if reproducing his latest improved second at Newton Abbot.
