Verdict

ROBBIN'HANNON was bought for 110,000 pounds into this powerhouse stable shortly after winning at point-to-point contest at Dromahane in November and he is fancied to mount a bold bid on his NH debut. The form of Oscars Boss' second at Plumpton looks strong with the third winning twice subsequently and he is likely to be in the shake-up again, while Exeter third Fortified Bay cannot be ruled out either.

Verdict

OSCARS BOSS failed to come up to expectations having been backed as though defeat was out of the question on January's hurdles bow at Plumpton, but he's well worth another chance up in trip given his bumper ability. Fortified Bay is promising in his own right, while expensive point recruit Robbin'hannon has to be considered.

Yet to show much form in 2 bumpers/2 hurdle runs. One for the longer term and this trip likely too short.

Yet to show much form in 2 bumpers/2 hurdle runs. One for the longer term and this trip likely too short.

Verdict

MULTICULTURE has done little wrong in three hurdle starts thus far, winning easily twice, and he should have few problems giving weight and a beating to these rivals. The rest need to up their game significantly to even get near the favourite, but Psychocandy is entitled to improve for the application of cheekpieces and triple Flat scorer Argus faces his easiest task since switching to hurdles.

Verdict

MULTICULTURE stands out on form and can't be opposed. He was a smooth winner at Wincanton last time and if in anything like the same form will take a lot of beating. Jupiter's Gift will need to jump better than on her hurdling debut but if she does she could be the one to chase home the favourite.

Made her first completion over fences a successful one at Uttoxeter in January. Essentially ran below par all 3 starts since, though application of a visor may well perk her up.

Verdict

It may be worth giving another chance to TOWERING, who was a beaten favourite when last seen but may improve for the application of first-time blinkers in the hands of Jeremiah McGrath. Krackatoa King is another who failed to justify favouritism last time out but has been dropped 2lb and is a consistent type. The triumvirate is completed by Timon's Tara who may need further ease in the ground to land a blow here.

Verdict

TOWERING was disappointing at Taunton recently, particularly given the promise of his chase debut second at Doncaster in early January. It's too soon to be giving up on him in this sphere though and he gets the vote in the hope first-time blinkers have the desired effect. Krackatoa King can grab second.

Former point winner who improved when opening her Rules account over C&D last month (suited by emphasis on stamina). Undone by an early blunder at Chepstow since but others rate stronger in any case.

Verdict

BRAW ANGUS ran out a cosy winner on his handicap debut over the extended 2m4f at Huntingdon and, entitled to improve again for this further step up in trip, he gets the vote to follow up. Black Narcissus could well be arriving on the back of a chase double had she not ran out two from home at Wincanton and another bold bid is forecast, while the lightly-raced The Happy Chappy also merits consideration.

Verdict

BRAW ANGUS was much improved for the switch to handicaps/step up in trip when opening his account at Huntingdon earlier this month, and with potential for better still as his stamina is drawn out, he can follow up. The Happy Chappy was a good third at Ludlow himself and warrants a second look, whilst Black Narcissus is considered provided she puts her best foot forward.

Verdict

Listen To The Man has been beaten a couple of times at odds-on and could have been considered a lucky winner at Huntingdon last time out when his main market rival took a fall when travelling well. He is likely to be short enough in the betting and can be taken on with LLANTARA. The selection remains unexposed and looked to be getting the hang of hurdling last time out at Exeter, finishing a clear third best behind a couple of decent rivals. The first-time tongue-tied Lady Beaufort may prove best of the remainder.

Verdict

It hasn't been plain sailing for LISTEN TO THE MAN over hurdles so far, but her opening mark could prove to be very lenient considering her useful bumper ability. Lady Beaufort is another handicap debutante to note, while Spellbound could easily get back on track sporting first-time cheekpieces.

Verdict

WATER WAGTAIL was strong in the betting at Wincanton last time out, landing a place for his supporters and shaping as though a step up in distance was needed. He gets that here with an extra four furlongs and could prove tough to beat under Daryl Jacob. Emma Soda landed this prize a couple of years ago off 5lb lower and has to be respected, while recent Lingfield scorer Veauce De Sivola is another to consider.

Verdict

VEAUCE DE SIVOLA took advantage of his sliding mark under this rider at Lingfield last time and remains on a fair weight despite an 8 lb rise. Dontmindtheboys is next best ahead of Royals And Rebels and Water Wagtail.
