Well held at 2 yrs, though did show a bit more in Musselburgh nursery final start. Needs to improve plenty from out of the weights on return.

Verdict

Marietta Robusti had been performing well on the all-weather, including a win at Chelmsford last month. However, she was a well-beaten seventh at Newcastle last time and it may be worth siding with the returning MAYGOLD. Ed Walker's filly signed off last term with a victory at Lingfield and is only 3lb higher on her comeback. G Eye Joe has not been disgraced the last twice and is interesting dropped in trip.

Verdict

You get the feeling G EYE JOE remains with a bigger effort in his locker back on turf and he could be worth chancing in the hope he handles conditions. The ground won't be an issue for Give Em A Clump, who is interesting back from a gelding operation in re-fitted headgear. Maygold was on a high when last seen and rates a big player also.

Foaled March 19. 3,000 gns foal, Gregorian filly. Dam, 7f/1m winner, half-sister to useful winner up to 1¼m Cruck Realta. Yard's juveniles have been flying.

Verdict

Blown By Wind is related to a pair of Listed winners (one in Germany, the other over here) and is likely to be ready first time out for Mark Johnston, while Solesmes is interesting for Mick Channon, though she's not obviously a sprinter on pedigree. ARTAIR's dam was a winner over 6f and her half-brother Coulsty won a Group 3 over sprint trips, so Michael Bell's colt is taken to strike first time out.

Verdict

This will be a test for these youngsters and the betting will prove informative. AWAKE IN ASIA is the most expensive in the field and David Evans has typically been quick off the block with his 2-y-os. He could be the way to go, ahead of Solesmes and Blown By Wind, both of whom also represent yards whose juveniles have been showing up well.

Derby entry who showed a good deal in 2 races around 1m on good to soft last year. Step up in trip sure to suit and leading claims for red-hot trainer if handling conditions. Has had a wind operation.

Verdict

Previous winners King's Proctor and Morning Skye have to be respected, particularly the former as he had a useful operator back in third when successful at Nottingham. Giving weight to SEVENNA STAR might prove too much, as John Gosden's colt went close twice as a juvenile and looks capable of winning sooner rather than later.

Verdict

Potentially a good 3-y-o contest and Dante/Derby entry SEVENNA STAR is taken to build on the promise of his 2-y-o runs and make a successful return with the step up in trip sure to suit. Previous winners King's Proctor and Morning Skye have to be respected, while Ishallak is an interesting newcomer being a half-brother to a useful one who thrived on heavy ground.

Useful performer in France, winning 6 times at up to this trip, but continues to struggle for new trainer. First go back on turf in Britain.

Verdict

BOMBERO was not beaten far over slightly further at Kempton last week and Silvestre De Sousa keeps the ride as he bids to build on a really promising start to the season. Rail Dancer had run up a sequence at Kempton before finding the quirks of Epsom too difficult to cope with. Back on this flatter track he has a chance, as does Fast And Hot, who could come on for his Kempton reappearance.

Verdict

BOMBERO is a winner on heavy ground and has returned in good heart. He's taken to land the spoils. Fast And Hot is doubtless capable of a big run back at Windsor but may not want it to get too testing. Essenaitch is another who enjoyed a good time of it here last year and has to be respected.

Has returned in good form this year, winning 6f Chelmsford handicap and running well back on turf in the mud at Bath last time. Respected.

Verdict

MOBSTA is starting to look dangerously well handicapped on his best form and did nothing to dissuade punters when beaten just over a length on his reappearance at Doncaster. He can get the better of recent Bath second Glory Of Paris, who pulled well clear of third-placed Major Pusey when denied by a neck in Somerset. Poet's Princess is interesting if returning in the same form as when fourth at Goodwood.

Verdict

MOBSTA made a highly eye-catching return at Doncaster last month, finishing well having had a troubled passage. Back under De Sousa he can strike for the first time since winning a Group 2 in Ireland nearly 2 years ago. Glory of Paris is in good heart and ran well in the mud at Bath last time, while Poet's Princess is capable of a big run if ready to go on her comeback.

Maiden who was well beaten on handicap debut on reappearance at Chelmsford last month. Drops back to 1m returned to turf and needs to improve.

Verdict

TEARDROP ISLAND sports first-time cheekpieces for this contest, that despite running well in three starts at Southwell without the headgear. Any improvement from her will make her tough to beat. Polly's Gold has been consistent without winning on the all-weather, while Unveiling makes her turf debut after running respectably in three starts on artificial surfaces.

Verdict

Several potential improvers here, including ICART POINT, who represents last year's winning trainer. He gets the vote over Mom Said and Unbridled Spirit who boast similar profiles. Lady Alavesa could be the pick of those with more experience.

Long-standing maiden who ran well in C&D handicap when last seen, losing out in 3-way blanket finish along with East Coast Lady. This tougher on return from out of the weights.

Verdict

East Coast Lady comes into this chasing a hat-trick after signing off with two wins, including when dead-heating for first at this venue. Zlatan appears to be steadily heading back to form as he was beaten just over a length at Kempton, but SPANISH HISTORY gets the vote. A good maiden winner over C&D when last seen, the booking of Jamie Spencer for Seamus Durack's charge certainly catches the eye.

Verdict

BAKHT A RAWAN has a lengthy absence to overcome, but has gone well fresh in the past and is proven on heavy ground. He could make a winning return back under Silvestre De Sousa. Spanish History, Zlatan and Wicker can all figure if handling conditions.
