Has won 2 of her 3 starts, seeing off Beyond Reason on debut at Newmarket then holding on for a gutsy victory at Haydock last week. 7f should suit but yard hold stronger claims with Natalie's Joy.

Verdict

NATALIE'S JOY was an impressive winner of a maiden at Goodwood and that performance suggested that she could make her mark at this level. The form of Nate The Great's Carlisle victory has been boosted with the third winning since and, being by Nathaniel, the step up to 7f should suit. Arthur Kitt did it well on his introduction at Haydock and his dam won the Queen Mary here back in 2012. San Donato bumped into an exciting prospect at Yarmouth but he should not be discounted, while Beyond Reason and New Winds also merit respect.

Verdict

NATALIE'S JOY posted a mighty timefigure on debut when impressively winning at Goodwood last month and will take plenty of beating. Arthur Kitt should step up on the form of his Haydock debut win and is respected. Beyond Reason is another lively contender after her taking victory at Kempton.

Smart performer who ran his best race this year when second in Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket in May. That form unlikely to be good enough here. Blinkers back on.

Verdict

St Leger second CRYSTAL OCEAN has returned as good as ever this season, landing two Group Three contests, first at Sandown over an inadequate trip and then impressively at Newbury when comfortably clear of his rivals. The Sea The Stars colt is backed to land his first Group Two prize and atone for his defeat in the King Edward VII Stakes at the meeting last term. Idaho got the better of Barsanti in this by half a length 12 months ago, but Roger Varian's gelding made a successful comeback and could prove to be the main danger to the selection. Cliffs Of Moher steps up in trip after his fourth in Wednesday's Prince Of Wales's Stakes.

Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute has an excellent record in this race, and CRYSTAL OCEAN is strongly fancied to provide him with further success. Unbeaten both starts this year, he looks a top-class colt in the making. Barsanti is a really likable sort who should continue to give a good account, while last year's winner Idaho needs to shake off a lacklustre effort in the Coronation Cup at Epsom.

Followed up defeat to Shades of Blue with highly impressive and professional successes at Thirsk and Windsor. Lacks the scope for ongoing improvement, so this is her big day.

Verdict

QUEEN OF BERMUDA has improved with each start since chasing home Queen Mary third Shades Of Blue on her C&D introduction. Her wins at Thirsk and Windsor were both impressive displays and the fillies' allowance also plays to her advantage here. Moonlight Romance has to be respected having been too strong on turf at Belmont last month for Wesley Ward, while others to consider include the likes of Sabre, second in the National Stakes at Sandown, and Van Beethoven, who placed behind Fairyland at the Curragh last time.

Verdict

Given that MOONLIGHT ROMANCE pulled a long way clear with subsequent Norfolk Stakes winner Shang Shang Shang on debut, then got off the mark with ease, she should have enough ability to capitalise on what look like ideal circumstances, drawn to grab the stand rail and attempt to make all. Queen of Bermuda is her biggest danger ahead of the maiden Isle of Innisfree.

High class at 6f and often saves best for this track, recording third C&D win in this race last year. Proved himself in good heart when winning listed race at Windsor on return and big run expected.

Verdict

Harry Angel has a July Cup and Sprint Cup to his name and made a winning reappearance in the Duke Of York, but all four of his defeats have come at this venue. He is top-class but seemingly vulnerable in the closing stages at this expansive track when the closers come flying and, in MERCHANT NAVY, he comes up an against an interesting Australian import who could inflict more misery on him in Berkshire. Aidan O'Brien's charge was thought to be in need of the run when easy to back ahead of his stable debut in the Greenlands but swept past stablemate Spirit of Valor to score cosily. Strictly speaking, he has a little to find with Redkirk Warrior, who finished a neck ahead of him in Group 1 company Down Under in March, though the winner made all that day and may potentially be taken out of his comfort zone by Harry Angel. City Light showed a lovely turn of foot when landing a 5f Group 3 at Longchamp last month and could relish this stiffer test, though his effectiveness on fast ground has to be taken on trust. Last year's winner The Tin Man and 2017 Champions Sprint scorer Librisa Breeze are others capable of making their presence felt in a pulsating renewal.

Verdict

Last year's winner THE TIN MAN has a very good record over this C&D and seems sure to be spot on for this following his win at Windsor last month. Merchant Navy was impressive on his stable debut and is sure to prove popular given connections, while Harry Angel and Redkirk Warrior look serious players, too.
